I placed an order with Uber on Saturday order number c29ca with Uber. I ordered Aloo pie with boneless goat with dhal and rice extra goat and potatoes.
The driver came with the food and the receipt was on the bag but when I opened the food I got salt fish and bake with stew chicken with rice and peas. I called they blamed the Uber driver which was ridiculous because the correct receipt was taped to the bag so unless the driver switched food from one bag to another how could this happen they told me to come back and they would replace it I ordered from Uber got a reason I don’t drive so she said to take a credit I got upset and said no she put me on hold and got who I assumed was the manager who again blamed the poor driver she said she watched the video and he took the wrong bag, how is that possible when the receipt with my husbands name and the correct order was taped to the bag. She again said to get a credit and I again said no that I wanted my food she said she would send it and this was 8:38 pm at 8:52 pm she called and said Uber is closed they could not send the order?? BS Uber isn’t closed she put me on hold after I demanded they deliver it themselves or call a taxi, I waited over 10 minutes and got cut off I called back and she said she was figuring it out and put me back on hold where again I got cut off I called back 8 times and nobody answered the phone really professional. I cannot believe this and I am fuming right now I spent $30 for something I don’t like and have nothing to eat. Worst experience ever. I want my money back!
I always pick up food from here and have ordered large party orders several times but this is not acceptable I expect a call back!
I am so upset with this experience. I am expected to pick up the food after paying a tip to Uber, service fees etc. I will never order from here again and warn you not to either.
Worst service I have ever received and to blame someone for your mistake is so terrible. Own up to your mistake, mistakes happen but you should fix...
Read moreToday, I took my sister to try some doubles and a chicken roti at Pepper on the Side. She requested curried mango since she hadn’t eaten this in a long while. When we got home and tried the curried mango we couldn’t eat it. The mango was still very hard and almost inedible. They failed to let the mango boil sufficiently allowing it to become soft and tender. It seemed that they prepared it by just soaking it in hot water. How could you as a business sell customers something like this? She also requested curried seim with no potatoes, yet there was more potatoes than seim when she got her order. I remembered this place had tasty roti when it was Drupati’s. Now it has changed ownership and chefs I’m presuming. There is a drastic drop in quality and taste. C’mon Pepper on the Side, you need to improve on what you’re serving your customers. I will no longer be patronizing your business. This is not my first bad experience I have had with this place. The food is not as good as...
Read moreHONEST REVIEW! Let me start by saying the customer service was immaculate. I was greeted with a smile and patience.( you don’t see that every day anymore). It was my first time here, I didn’t know that roti had so much variety. This place had it all. I had the large boneless goat roti. chefs kiss the goat was so soft it melted in my mouth. The portion size was more than I expected. Don’t underestimate the large. It could probably serve 2, depending on your appetite. I was given a sample of doubles with my order which was totalled unexpected yet appreciated. DISCLAIMER don’t go to new restaurants thinking your entitled to something extra these people gotta make money* but it was a nice gesture and I HAD to leave a review for the next person looking for a great dinner option. Don’t think twice about visiting it’s worth every penny. Moms Home cooking vibes. I...
