Read moreThe only good thing about this place was SERVICE. The staff at the restaurant (Nancy) was very courteous and welcoming. And, the good ends here. We ordered Golgappas, Amritsari Chaap, Nuggets and Spring Rolls. The Golgappas come with 6 different flavored water out of which the best are Khatta-Meetha, Lemon and Thela (if you like spicy). The other 3 flavours are ok (Lasan, Litchi and Hing). The only enjoyable part of our order was the Golgappas. The food was flavourless and didn't taste fresh. Amritsari Chaap was soft, mushy and rubbery textured. The soya nuggets were decent sized but the accompanying dips were not good except the chilli dip which had some flavour to it. Spring rolls were soggy and oily and they were more like stuffed and fried wraps with no distinguishable taste. No Frills Frozen spring rolls or semi frozen rolls at Sobeys taste much better! Unfortunately, we had to garbage the whole dinner in front of Nancy, leaving us and her feeling bad and dejected. I am sure with the variety in the menu, you guys can do great job. It just didn't happen this time. Good luck...
Read moreI would leave zero stars if I could. The food is mediocre for the price and to make it even worse it is not even close to authentic. You should not call yourself a Punjabi restaurant. Took an hour to get Halwa. Halwa was dry and not cooked well and i also got different halwa from which I ordered. It was a busy night I get it, but worst service I have ever experienced. Go ANYWHERE else. You dont know how to make moong dal halwa. The two main ingredients of halwa apart from sugar are moong dal and ghee. Both these ingredients carry their own list of benefits and are optimum for your health. Ghee not only adds flavor to the dish but also provides tons of health benefits. It has anti-inflammatory properties, keeps skin glowing, contains cancer-fighting agents and is a powerhouse of energy. On the other hand, moong is full of iron and magnesium, which not only keeps the heart healthy but also keeps a check on blood sugar levels. Worst experience really...
