The best brown stew red snapper that my husband and I have ever tasted from a takeout joint. Got here at 8:15 p.m. on a Friday night. Skip the dishes delivery guy had a large order. There had to be at least 10 meals the cashier/server was putting together for him. She was very pleasant and gave me eye contact as soon as I entered the establishment, she greeted me right away and said she'd be right with me. After skip the dishes got his stuff and left, it was my turn. Here I go.... I ordered two snapper dinners and wanted rice and peas but to my disappointment, skip the dishes must have gotten the last of it. There was no more. Darn it. Oh well, white rice it is. The cashier/server advised the snapper is made to order. BONUS! I love fresh food. I waited about 10 minutes tops for my order to be ready. I paid and was given the order. Was bid a nice evening by the very pleasant cashier/server and then headed to my car. My first thought when she handed me my order was...wow the bag feels heavy. I smiled thinking hmmm, Ms. Rose must have loaded me up. Can't wait to get home and dive into my meal with hubby. On arriving home, I washed my hands and opened the containers. O yeah!! Ms. Rose you nailed it! Two large red snappers with beautifully cut carrots, potatoes, caramelized onions, bell peppers in the ultimate brown stew gravy spooned over the fish! Oh my goodness, everything, I mean everything, even the white rice was fresh and delicious! Snapper was fresh fresh fresh. Beautifully cooked, tender and moist. Not dried out. Vegetables in the brown stew were not overcooked. Done just right. They were tender and tasty.
I will definitely be coming back! This is going to be our go to place for fresh quality Caribbean takeout food.
Thank you Ms. Rose and to the cashier/server who has the most pleasant smile and attitude.
Sincerely, A very...
Read moreThis review is better late than never. My family and I were in search of some good Caribbean food to eat while staying in the area of Pearson Airport this summer. After a Google map search and some intense scrolling through pictures and menus, we decided on Rose's Caribbean Kitchen. It is located in a nice Plaza on Hurontario St. We ordered several items on the menu including the shrimp roti, chicken roti, festival and shrimp, soups, and fish. We came hungry and left pleasantly satisfied. Although, the dining area is small, we made ourselves at home and enjoyed our meal. Beyond the food being great, which was prepared by Chef G we were told, we were pleased with the service we received from Amaliah and Jasmine. They were professional and kind spirited. We would recommend 👌 to anyone looking for something good to eat in the Brampton area. Until next time, stay awesome Rose's Caribbean...
Read moreUpdated: I did like this place for their food but the quality has gone down in 2025 consistently. The fried chicken tastes stale. It is greasy and seems like it is fried in old oil. I forgave the first time but again and again it seems not fresh. The rice and salad is also average....no flavor. The atmosphere is basic. It is just a Caribbean average place for food. Worker shared some pro Trump views that are confusing to me but as they said.. they prefer a world were he is the leader and admires his policies. As a minority owned business I was surprised especially with looming tariffs he is bullying Canada with.My appetite left and despite paying for the food I will not be returning as I cannot support food that endorses Trump. It is good that the quality has gone down so I wont be missing...
