I was recently at St. Louis Bar and Grill at Brampton City Centre and had a great time, so I felt I had to leave a review of my experience.
This past Saturday after a long workday, I was looking for a new spot to wind down to grab a bite to eat, and enjoy a cold drink. I was tired of that usual “everyone’s glued to their cell phones” atmosphere and found that the BCC St. Louis Bar is a great alternative for me. A few weeks back when I came here it was way too packed for my liking, but this time, it was just—busy enough, but not overwhelming.
As soon as I walked in, the host greeted me with a smile and let me choose my own spot to sit. I found the perfect table, just far enough from the big TV screens to enjoy the game (soccer would’ve been ideal, but it was good just the same).
Once I settled in, one of the staff handed me the menu and filled me in on the specials. It was later followed up by the Bartender for drinks. I put my request in, and after some pleasant chit chat she was gone. The servers were on the ball and attentive without being in my face (which is nice when you just want to relax and chill). My drink was never empty, and the bartender checked with me at just the right time to make sure everything was good.
Now, let’s talk about the food—especially the St. Louis Wings Poutine. You really "HAVE TO" try the St Louis poutine! Crispy fries topped with cheese curds, chunks of chicken, a healthy dose of green onions, and all of this smothered in rich gravy are awesome - oh, and add to that some honey garlic sauce on top of it all - wow, tantalizing delicious. It’s a great choice that pairs and perfectly with a cold drink.
What really stood out was how well the everyone worked together; it felt like a friendly competition among them. The bartender was quick and efficient, always smiling and making sure everyone was happy at the bar. She’s a perfect example of what great customer service should be.
Overall, the service was fantastic, and the St. Louis Poutine was to die for. If you’re looking for awesome food and even better service - then consider going to the Bramalea City Centre St. Louis Bar & Grill - its a great spot. I'll be back.
Oh, and one final thing...the music was just awesome, the right variety, not too loud - it was just the rocking best. Some other biz should take...
Read moreThis was the strangest and one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a bar or restaurant. On top of the shady homeless people hanging out outside trying to pick fights, the service was absolutely unacceptable. It was 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. Before we even said one word the first question out of the waitress mouth is are you driving home tonight? We said we were walking home and she sent over another waitress. The second waitress asked if we wanted water and asked if we wanted food. We ordered two drinks. Again she asked if we wanted water and if we were driving home. It seemed like they were implying we had too much to drink already without us even saying a word which was very odd. We were quiet and polite so these questions were very odd although we did have two drinks before going to the bar. Twenty minutes later we got our drinks delivered by a 3rd waitress. By that time I wanted a water and waited another 20 minutes for the water to arrive. 10 more minutes for the check to arrive. Four different waitressed came to our table during our visit which seemed unorganized. None of them smiled once except the last waitress. It wasn't that busy so the wait time for drinks was unacceptable. This location was dirty and dingy. I will never go back and I dont need a generic response from the regional manager Rodney asking to contact him. All the info you need is...
Read moreSt. Louis Bar and Grill at 100 Peel Centre Dr. Asked to speak to manager regarding an issue I had. The front manager said she would get the owner for me from the back. While I waited by the kitchen entrance for him, I observed the kitchen staff (cooks), grabbing food from the serving area, dipping it in sauce and eating it with their bare fingers. The owner "Tony" came out and when I mentioned this to him he said" they were on break". Since when is it OK for cooks "on break" to grab food from the food prep area, dip it in sauce which will be served to customers, and then stick it in their mouths, all the while using their bare fingers as well. Made me nauseous watching and wondering what happened to my food in the back. If the cooks are on break, they should be in the staff lunch room and not eating food which will be soon served to paying customers. I will be reporting this to peels health and the corporate office. Will post later what kind of response corporate sends.
Also, 1 lbs wings=15.69, 2lbs 26.99, all you eat wings=23.99 for 1 1/2 lbs, if you dont eat the 1 1/2 lbs you cant take the last few wings to go even though you never reordered any more. What a waste of money. Dont think I will be back here.
Update... I have since spoken to the regional manager. He indicated he would be speaking with the franchise owner regarding the issues I...
