I have been coming to this location since it first opened. My family and I are here a minimum of 10 times a year. I come here for every occasion - all of our birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Anniversaries, New Years Eve and outings with my fellow colleagues. After COVID, it was evident the service we were receiving had gone downhill.
Every time for the last 2 years that we have gone to this location, something has gone wrong. Our waiter forgets to check up on us, forgets to bring our drinks, forgets to bring our appetizers, forgets to bring the correct meal. It is always an issue time and time again.
For example, my husband and I came here for New Year’s Eve, asked for the mac and cheese appetizer, but it never came out. After we finished our meals, it still never came out and then they asked us if we still wanted it. Obviously, we did not, as we had already finished our meals and it was supposed to be our appetizer. My husband also asked for a medium well steak and it came out blue. He does not eat his steak blue, so we had no choice but to send it back.
Saturday night, my mom and I came to The Keg for our birthday like we do every year and we were seated at the bar. Our waitress so happened to also be the bartender. Now what logic does that make on a Saturday night? Your bartender is pumping out drink after drink after drink all night long. How are they expected to provide top tier service while their whole night is preoccupied by making drinks. No fault of their own, but due to them being so busy, we only got 1 table bread and she said she would bring another out in 3 minutes, as it was just finishing up baking. 15 minutes goes by, still no bread. 20 minutes, our appetizer comes out, missing the extra salsa we requested with our nachos. We had to ask someone else to assist us to get our second table bread. At this point, our orders have not been taken and we had already been there for over half an hour. We finally had our orders taken and when it came out, 90% of the food came out cold and the steaks were overcooked.
When a manager by the name of Jen approaches our table, she was very passive aggressive and placed blame onto us. She said she “spoke” to other members of her team and said that we have been an “issue” in the past. Extremely shocking and uncalled for. How can you sit there and place blame your customers for something they have zero control over? We don’t take the orders, we don’t put in the orders, we don’t make the food, and we don’t bring out the meals.
She clearly insinuated that we create a problem every time we go there and even threw one of her colleagues under the bus. One of our favourite waiters we have had many times previously in the past, Auto, was supposedly one of the people she said she was speaking to and told her that we are a problem. It is great to know that the team at this Keg location huddle together in the back and talk negatively about their customers. Very disrespectful. My family and I have no problem paying the full bill and tipping our waiters/waitresses whenever we go here. All we ask in return is that we are to be provided with half decent customer service and that all of our orders are brought out correctly and hot.
Not to mention, I also found a black hair in my meal, but I’m sure according to Jen, that would be my fault as well.
Management here needs to learn some hospitality and hold their staff accountable for their mistakes, as opposed to blaming their customers. We as the customer cannot control if your staff forgets about us and gets our meals wrong.
We have spent thousands of dollars at this location over the years! We continuously came back here, despite everything, because we have met some really great people over the years, but after this weekends service, we will never be a returning customer again. It’s very unfortunate, because we really looked forward to seeing some familiar faces and we have always loved this Keg location.
I do not recommend anyone to ever come to this location, the staff do not care about...

I forgot to come back and leave a second review until now and would like to follow up with the two additional dining experiences I had at this location. I returned on September 22 for my sister’s ninth birthday and that night was a bit of a letdown but still on okay experience. We ordered calamari, nachos, and my mother ordered a Chicago style strip loin steak. The calamari was luke warm and had remnants of a fry order on it, The meat on the nachos was incredibly salty, and my mother’s steak was a baseball cut that was so charred we sent it back. She is very particular about her food so she didn’t request a replacement as she did not want to wait any longer and was already disappointed with the appetizers. I ordered two gin basil lemonades (the first a double, the second a single). The first was good and very sweet (they used wonderfully fresh basil) and the second completely tasted like juice.Our server Justice was incredibly sweet and accommodating when we brought these things to his attention and got the kind supervisor Daniel to come by and rectify the situation. I didn’t mention the drink issue as I saw it was pretty busy and didn’t want to give them more to do. They wound up taking the two food items that were messed up completely off the bill and made sure that my sister got ice cream cake before we left as well. Justice even gave us a bag of ice to put in the to go bag we took with the cake.
The next time I went was two days later with a friend and Colette gave amazing service once again. She was funny and patient with us and gave us quick service the entire time we were there. We ordered steak and lobster and couple of drinks (Moscow mule, Caesar & double gin and cranberry this time) and everything tasted AMAZING. The atmosphere was really nice as it always is whenever I show up. I accidentally left my take-home box behind and still regret it to this day lol. Definitely recommend coming here because no restaurant is perfect but this location is pretty damn close and the staff are always attentive and caring, even when they are busy with...
Read morei haven’t been here for awhile and decided to dine in yesterday at 5:45, our server was tiffany and at first she was nice but then she started growing an attitude with us in the middle of her taking our order. i asked about the difference with the steaks and talked down to me with attitude when i was just curious. i decided not to let it bother me but every time we said thank you she never smiled or said “your welcome” or “no problem”.
the steak knives were dirty and my boyfriend had lipstick on his glass of water so i asked for a new one, every time we interacted with her we were polite, i’d be in the middle of talking to her and she’d start to walk away from me. we usually always tip very well at restaurants but decided not to do it today because the service just wasn’t it unfortunately, im a server myself and i know to tip well, but i would never talk to customers the way she does. we kept contemplating it because we were thinking she’d speak in a better tone, but we didn’t see any improvements. the only time tiffany was nice was when we asked for the bill then she began clearing our plates and when we said thank you, STILL saying thank you even though she never acknowledges it and just walks away, this time she actually says “your welcome” and “of course” when we’re about to pay the bill… im not sure if because she thought since we were a young couple we wouldn’t tip her so off the bat she wasn’t in a good mood or something else made her moody.
the dining room also has many fruit flies which were annoying. honestly wouldn’t come here again or recommend anyone to either. i had a different server last time and he was very kind and accommodating, so i thought the rest of the servers would be the same. after she saw we didn’t tip she said “oh thank you very much, that’s so nice” in a sarcastic tone.
besides that, we both had steaks and ordered them both of them medium mine was perfect, while my boyfriends was cooked to almost a well done. we decided not to bother her again with it since she seemed annoyed with me just bringing up the dirty cup. the sides were also very small portions, there was maybe 10 fries...
