Absolutely terrible service! My husband and I came here on December 16th, we were seated immediately along with another couple that sat beside us. They got their waters and order taken before us. We waited 20 minutes before our waitress came back to take our order. Another 10 minutes went by and I had to ask them to please bring us waters. When my dessert finally arrived, the ice cream was melted and we were still waiting for my husbands dessert. 10 minutes later, she finally brought out his dessert and I was halfway done my mine. Once we finished, they IMMEDIATELY brought us the bill. They took forever to bring us our drinks, take our order, and serve us our food - but had no issue bringing us the bill right away (without us asking).
Fast forward to January 3rd, I decided to come back with my brother! I thought I’d give this place another chance, because everyone has an off day.
When we arrived, there were 4 groups waiting to be seated ahead of us. No one greeted us or asked us for our name when we walked in. After 20 minutes of standing at the entrance, someone else came in and was asked for their name before us, even though the hostess had already seen us standing there for 20 minutes. They did not acknowledge us.
After another 10 minutes, I asked someone else how much longer the wait would be, as there were plenty of seats available. He then seated us immediately, along with the two people who came in after us.
Just like last time, the people beside us got their drinks and order taken before us, even though we were seated first.
The waitress finally approached us after waiting 10 minutes and asked us if we were ready to order. My brother ordered his dessert and I ordered a waffle with strawberries, chocolate ice cream and chocolate sauce. 15 minutes went by and the waitress brought out my brothers dessert (melted as it had been sitting on the counter for a while) and me a crepe. I sent it back. After waiting 20 minutes, she brings me another plate, but this time with strawberry sauce instead of chocolate. Another 25 minutes go by and I still hadn’t received my food. After over an hour of waiting for my dessert, we got up, paid for my brothers and left!
This is the worst Demetres I’ve ever been to - it’s clear they do not care about their customers! They let orders sit on the counter, bring you melted ice cream, ignore customers, and wander around the restaurant chatting with their coworkers. Please do yourself a favour and avoid this Demetres...

Read moreTLDR: During a late Uber Eats pickup, a male employee was raging and behaving like a man-child, berating the hostess in front of us. Mind you, this is a dessert spot.
My friend and I came to pick up our order around 12:10am and there was a belligerent employee (East Asian Boy, early 20s), who was yelling like a man child at our hostess to open the door for us.
Once we entered, he was screaming at the top of his lungs and erratically hitting his towel on the counter top.
I understand that the store closes at 11:59, we even apologized for coming late.
Throughout our 5-10 minute wait for our pickup order to be completed, we waited inside where he continued screaming and raise his voice at the hostess who was just trying to get our order together while he raged at her.
This is concerning, we felt very unsafe as customers. I cannot imagine how the staff felt as he berated our hostess, no one said or did anything about his nasty behaviour and attitude.
If I knew it would cause this much hatred towards customers, and his own staff member… I would rather the order have been cancelled.
Our hostess was apologetic but, he created a very hostile environment and we were afraid to be in close vicinity to him.
After we apologized again for the latency and got our order, our hostess kindly said “Take care.” to my friend and I as we were LEAVING. Which made him even more enraged asking her “That’s what you’re gonna say?! Take care?!”, as we were leaving he yelled and said something I can only assume was profane.
I’m especially concerned for the women working with him, especially with the way he was treating our hostess. He was commenting on how our hostess has “Only been working for 3 weeks”. He is no stellar example of an employee and should not speak to others like this, especially newly hired team members.
We hope this issue gets addressed promptly, internally investigated and resolved. I will be escalating this concern further. No one deserves to get treated like that, at their workplace of all...
