Eggsmart — Restaurant in Brampton

First time here since change of ownership. Diversified Customers in different age groups. Lovely! My appetizing looking breakfast arrived and just started to enjoy it, Until...a woman entered and sat behind me. She immediately got on her cell phone and in a very loud voice started having a conversation in Hindi. She got louder and louder. I turned to look at her. She smiled at me and flashed her cell phone and said in English, 'My sister'. I just looked at her. She lowered her voice and then got to high pitch level again. I looked around and the Customers seemed to be used to it. I got up and asked my waitress for my bill and food to go. As I did so the lady on her cell left. I asked the waitress why she allowed someone to come in sit at a table, not order anything, talk loudly on her cell and then leave. The waitress said, and I quote, 'She does that everyday. She gets very loud.' I was astounded. The waitress said, 'She has mental issues', and swirled a finger around her temple. We phone the Police, but by the time they arrive she's gone.' Racist server/ possibly owner. I’ve been coming here for over a year now with my toddler once a month or so. It’s always the same West Indian looking server, and the server knows us and recognizes us, but always pretends like she has no idea who we are. However - anytime a white person walks in her personality and attention to detail + welcome is like night and day compared to what we receive. I always have to ask for a menu, and pickup my own high chair to bring to my own table. Whereas if it was a white family, I watch her scurry to do it - EVERY SINGLE TIME. My daughter gets the exact same order, French toast every time we come - and this lady never once has even greeted my toddler and pretends as though it’s a new order all over again. I know she has the ability to remember orders because when Charley walked in the other day (Charley hasn’t been here for over 6 months because thats what the server said - “hey Charley!!! It’s been like six months!!!! I’ll start you off with a coffee, do you want the same thing as last time?” (I guess 6 months ago) - I think your location will do better somewhere less...

I was in the restaurant this morning when a woman had to be told that her outside pop was not allowed in the restaurant. Instead of abiding to their rules and request she decided to rebuttal about another restaurant allowing it. The manager replied unfortunately the rule here is that outside drinks are not allowed. Shortly there after a food delivery man came for an order an was told that once the order is REDY it will be placed on the table. The woman working was now on the phone taking an order and the man proceeded to follow her almost behind the counter asking how long. She asked him to wait 1 second and he began to get loud that he is just asking a question. Needless to say the man got outta hand and had to be calmed down by 2 other workers. The lady with the pop then walks the man thru a very unjust bad google review when they were both obviously out of line.
