Echo Restaurant & Wine Bar — Restaurant in Brandon

The beer was great, unfortunately 2 dinners at this place and both were fails. First was the pasta : it is billed as fresh pasta made daily , perhaps it was, but it was swimming in a diluted, weak, Kraft dinner tasting sauce. All there was for veggies was red and green pepper. I know there was other veggies in the kitchen as my wife's steak came with a side of carrots. Second dinner was burger and fries : obviously fries went down at same time as burger, because fries were plated first and were cold upon arrival. Burger was good tasting, but red peppers ( which are wet, right ? ) don't belong on the bottom bun, because...wait for it, they get soggy. Put them on top of the chicken , this is cooking 101. If you are staying in the hotel, and are being lazy its OK, but don't make an effort...

I can't say I plan to go back, due to the sub par food quality. Although the atmosphere was pretty good and the service was alright (though somewhat absent, and hard to get her attention), the food was far overpriced and lacking quality and flavour. I had ordered the chicken parm and I couldnt help but notice that the chicken was very dry (cooked ahead of time perhaps?), and the cheese on top was oddly tough to cut and did not seem fresh. Added to that, the tomato sauce seemed very bland, which added nothing to the already underseasoned chicken. I have not experienced that before so I can't even properly explain it. Quite a few members of our family had a similar experiences with their meals (especially the meat), one of them said that they have experienced this in the past as well at...

Worst food I ever ate in a restaurant in Brandon, it said lobster tail and steak on the page, went there and no lobster tail, had a starter of nacho Grande which was over baked dried up cold cheese, Caesar salad was so bland not fresh salad it tasted aweful, I had the baby back ribs so did my partner, tasted like sauce you buy at superstore not homemade, broccoli tasted like it came out of a box frozen and heated somehow very bad taste. Fries were good but the gravy was way too salty I'm never going back to this Echo place half a star out of 5.. alot of people said the same when they said it's not a good place...
