My first and last time ever going here. Had heard wonderful things from family and friends... Sadly, I did not have a good experience. Everyone has bad days, so maybe it was a bad day? But... Where to begin? Had I known it was the style of ordering by scanning a QR code, I would not gave gone based on that alone. Covid is over, why are people still doing this? Any restaurant I've gone to that has this setup I have been so displeased with. We were only a party of 4, and yet it somehow took half an hour to get the smallest order of chicken teryaki. Things were so staggered coming out of the kitchen, we were all eating at different times, which I personally dislike. I don't like eating in front of ppl who are still waiting on their own food. Everyone in our party didn't get everything they ordered. We all eventually gave up because we figured it got lost, which again is partly why I hate this ordering style. When you have an influx of 60 different things coming thru at once, how do you keep track? And I hated eating 1 thing, then waiting 10 mins for another, another 10 for another, a half hour for the next, like it was absolutely ridiculous. And then when I went to pay, I paid for myself and my partner and our 2 Pepsi's and without a tip it was $72! Are you kidding me? For what?! robbery, I'm sorry, for that price I could have gone to the keg and actually been full when I left. But considering that at best things were lukewarm, that they missed several things we ordered, that from the time we ordered to the time we actually received the last of our food was an hour and a half, this was just about one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had anywhere. I do...
Read moreWow, this was one amazing order. We are traveling across Canada, landing in Brandon, and we ordered in from Sushi Hut, who were kind enough to deliver despite being at a bit of a distance. We ordered many items - beef rolls, gyoza, yellow dragon roll, salmon avocado maki, chicken udon, seafood noodles, edemame, salad, and everything was exceptional. The sauces were well-balanced, the salad dressing was exceptional, the beef rolls delicious, the gyoza - everything was really well prepared. Also, as I love a bit of seaweed in my udon soup, the chef added just the right amount, making the broth just right. Also, the broth for the udon was in a separate container, so the amount of chicken, noodles and vegetables was substantial, and the noodles were perfect as they had not been sitting in broth until I added it myself. We have lots of leftovers that we look forward to having. If only you were located where we live! We will definitely be ordering from Sushi Hut any time we pass through Brandon. My spouse have tried a lot of japanese restaurants across the country, and this restaurant is one of the top in quality and quantity. Thank you for an...
Read moreWe have ordered from here before and always enjoyed it. We decided to go in to eat this time, but had no idea about the all you can eat thing. Nobody explained anything to us. We sat down with a plastic paper (like the have in many sushi restaurants) to mark our order on. No menus were given or anything. So we got up and grabbed a take out menu. So the staff thought lightbulb let's give them a menu. We looked through it and then said we couldn't find the tiger roll. It was obviously very frustrating that we didn't automatically know the obscure ordering methods. By the time we got our order in I had completely lost my appetite and I felt pretty small. We though that's fine we can just get it to go when it comes. No. That's also not how this works. You get charged for leftover food but also they charge you to take the left over food home. That was such a three ringed circus I'll never be back. I'd rather YouTube how to make sushi at home, at least then we would have had a...
