Owner needs a class in etiquette. Horrible customer service and be very careful when booking a decorating class here. We booked a cake decorating class as a mother daughter activity and it ended terribly and in quite an embarrassing manner.

We booked the class December 5 and there was no tiered pricing option when this was booked. There was only $40 per person option and it noted a vanilla or chocolate cake so we thought we were all set aside from the fact that when we got the email confirmation it noted the class was on a December 16 @ 9:40 am, not December 27 @2pm. My daughter reached out for clarity as obviously there was an issue with the vendor booking system. She confirmed that the day on her Instagram was correct, not the day or time on the email confirmation.

We arrived at the class today and were told in order to be supplied a cake it would be $65 and there were no cakes to be purchased as she only made enough for the class who paid the $65. Obviously there was issue with the website and there was a misunderstanding. I personally have never been to a class where you bring your own cake so I was very surprised.

In an attempt to try and figure out a solution I asked if we could rebook to the next class or if there was something we could do. Her response was “Well I could have sold these tickets to someone else “. Who does that?

We got upset as this was happening in front of everyone there. I should not have had to voice my displeasure with someone who was in the middle of a group of people looking at us like we had done something wrong. She could have taken us aside and had a conversation to the side but she stayed right in the middle of the class.

Very callous during the holidays seeing as we have been stuck inside for over a year and were really excited to get out and do something. A saavy business person would have tried to do something but she just didn’t care. We will continue to support local but will not be purchasing anything from this company.

The email from square only notes the class with the incorrect date and time. It notes $40 and doesn’t include much in details.

For the conversation on alternatives, you stood there in the middle of the class refusing to give us options so we left. You basically told us flat out there were no options. Your comment that you could have sold tickets to other people was very unprofessional and hurtful. You devalued potential customers and when you think that way you lose out long term on profits. You think of a “loss” of something that’s already been paid for not considering future sales to the people you just turned away. We have friends in Paris getting married in July and had already forwarded them your Instagram page. They really wanted to work with you since you’re local but after this they will be coming to Cambridge to another bakery. Next time think about customer satisfaction. We weren’t asking for a handout. My son is allergic to eggs and dairy and I came across this bakery when looking for a vegan cake for his birthday. I've ordered from fully vegan bakeries before (GTA) and I'm not gonna lie, they weren't good.

But this cake was 10/10. Absolutely delicious and perfectly moist. 2-3 days later it's still just as moist. I thought the frosting was too sweet on its own but eaten all together it's perfectly balanced. There were some salty bits I think from the strawberry filling which made it even better. Honestly this is the best cake I've ever had and if you're considering this place don't hesitate! Definitely worth every penny!

I have to say Katherine absolutely nailed my cake! I had been looking for a long time for someone to recreate the flavours of our wedding cake. Katherine is the first one to say she would do it and nailed it, maybe even better than our actual wedding cake! She even bought the ingredients she didn’t have to create it.
