Friday cafe — Restaurant in Brantford

I have come here and left a happy customer many times, however, I ordered a $7.99 slice of cake, which after taking a few bites I recognized the cake itself was wet. It was very unappetizing. I waited until all the customers had been served and left the counter before asking for a new slice. I spoke to the woman who has been here for years. I said, "I'm sorry, but the cake tastes wet." She told me there couldn't be a problem with it, that it is fresh and they get it from another company. I asked her it if came frozen, she said yes. I told her that is probably why it is so moist and I asked for a different slice. I did not request a refund. She got visibility frustrated and upset that I asked for a substitution. She seemed extremely unhappy to fulfill this request. After this interaction there was abnormal banging of various things behind...

I am so happy I discovered this local cafe!! The owners and workers all provide amazing service and top quality food and beverages. My personal favourite being the Caramel Cappuccino. I also want to point out their take out cups, not only are they aesthetically pleasing, my favourite feature is the stopper and the lid having a spot to put the stopper when you are ready to take a drink. This cafe does cost more then your typical drink from tim Hortons but your supporting a local cafe, a local family instead of these big chain corporation's that 90% of the time mess up your order in...

One of the most racist places i’ve ever been to in Brantford. Before even walking in i was watched to my seat by who i presume to be the owner. He comes walking up to me telling me i have to pay to be here,i comply but remind him my phone is dead which he ignores and states that the library would be more than happy to help me instead. I try paying with debit but my card is locked to which him and his partner began giggling in fron of me. Disheartening but not surprised, if you’re black I’d advise spending your money...
