The WORKS Craft Burgers & Beer — Restaurant in Brantford

Went in just before the lunch hour, there was only one table with customers in the whole place, thought great, we should get good service. Server brought us our drinks and took our order in a timely fashion. Then the wait happened.....almost a half hour later they seated a young couple in our section, took their order, then 25 minutes later, they got their food. When I then questioned the server about our meal he rudely said it was coming when it comes. When I pointed out that the young couple got their food in a timely manner his response was 'ya, so?' So we got up and left, hour wasted, and no food. So disappointed that in times like these where restaurants are struggling, that the server treated us so rudely.

EDIT: went back today for a takeout dinner, which I ordered and paid for online. Was shocked when the manager noticed the name on the order and remembered my first review from a month ago. He apologized for the behavior of his employee and had sat down and had a talk with all the employees. Kudos to this restaurant for taking the time to make me feel like I mattered! I am pleased to say the meal today was prepared ontime, and was delicious! Keep up...

We went here for dinner Sunday March 30/2025 at around 7 pm

we got there and waited for a table then we had gotten to our table and put into the darkest corner of the entire restaurant to start off while there was ample seating everywhere as they were not busy.

Our server Nicole had taken our drink order and I had ordered an ice tea no ice with a lemon and recived an iced tea with ice with no lemon to start off then she took our order and the sweet potato fries I ordered were awful littlerally almost burnt. And the chicken burger I ordered had like no boom chicka bommboom sauce and I had also ordered it with no pickles and recieved pickles on my sandwich.

Our server Nicole had not come over to check out how are meal was and also did not ask if we needed condiments or drinks filled up during the duration of the entire meal

all she did the whole time we were there was sit by the kitchen and watched over the dining room the whole time and did not tend to the table until it was time to bring the bill

I also paid good money to bring my family to this establishment for dinner and we should have received...

Recently visited Brantford for the first time for an appointment and my husband and I decided to stop by at The Works for lunch. Waitress was prompt to welcome us and gave us time to look at the menu. I specifically asked for a multigrain bun and a side of sweet potatoes fries with my hamburger. Apart from the VERY LONG wait time ( *keep in mind the restaurant was not filled to the brim with people), when we finally got our order I was given a plain hamburger bun and a bowl of steamed broccoli. I didn't say anything as the wait time for our food had us cutting close to our appointment. The hamburger overall was not spectacular and the steamed broccoli was just that.....steamed. No butter, salt or pepper. NO FLAVOR. My husband also commented that his hamburger buns was cold to the touch. The HIGH cost of the meal did not match the quality of the food we received. We have been to The Works at other locations and by far this was the worst, so much so that this experience has put off visiting another The Works restaurant in the future.
