I wanted a good burger restaurant for my two little daughters and wanted to avoid McDonald and Burger King’s burger factory. I found this Burger take-out restaurant with 4.5 ratings and I was curious to eat here looking at all reviews and pics. Overall, my girls and I liked the cleanliness and humble and nice little girl who took the order and probably the parents packing and cooking in the kitchen. We lived in South Korea for 11 yrs so I can tell they are Koreans who does all cooking with all cleanliness and properly. Everything was fine with our orders. My girls ordered “Cheese Burgers without Mayo, and I ordered Spicy Double BBQ Burger. I liked the cheese burger, and so did my daughters as there were a lot of lettuce, onions etc. inside and flavors. I kind if liked my Spicy double bbq burger but after two bites thought that it was dearly missing “spice” as in the name of spice it had chopped green peppers and sautéed onions in bbq sauce and that is it. I wondered why there were no salads added to it? No cheese? It wasn’t as good as it seemed with ingredients and name. Regular fries were good but then we found that only half were long fries and the rest were like broken-tiny potato fries like crumbs (not really crumbs, see the photos to see what I mean) and also seemed too oily soggy. So we ordered only three burgers which are not cheap but still we had to buy separate drinks and fries? That’s not acceptable for me and feels it doesn’t deserve 4.5+ ratings. 3 burgers, two soft-drinks and two regular fries costed us $42, seemed more like a hole in the pocket rather than a yummy hearty meal that would have satisfied my soul. It’s good but doesn’t deserve 4.5 star ratings in my opinion. I’ve seen better serving burger restaurants and they were cheaper and with bigger portions.

You want a good ol' fire grilled burger with reasonable price? This is the place. You want an amazing set of garlic fries with mouth-watering aioli/dip to keep you dreaming? This is the place. I've been here a few times and they never disappoint. This is a family-run burger joint located inside a small mall with only one other food option which makes the place look out of place. However, don't let the appearance fool you - this is some good stuff. The #1 item I would recommend: the garlic fries. All of their fries are thick cut where the inside is undeniably fluffy while the outside is crispy, all the characteristics that screams "homemade" as I bite into them. The garlic fries in particular come out with generous amounts of parmesan cheese and the aioli/dip that comes with it is what makes this so unique. I tried their poutine and chilli fries, both were great. BUT, the garlic fries were even better. Make sure to eat the garlic fires while you're there while it's fresh too! It's a bit weird for me to write so much about french fries at a burger joint... but honestly that's really what I look forward to whenever I come here (Sometimes I come here just for the fries). And to be fair, their burgers are also great and anything on their menu will taste amazing! But remember to go for the garlic fries. I'm sorry for the lack of photo of said fries - lately everytime I go there I don't even think about photos... Nonetheless, attached is a photo of when I first went there and foolishly did not take photos of their fries. I'll try my best during my next visit but still, no promises. Edit: Couldn't resist and went back for more! Here are some photos of the infamous garlic fries (with plenty of parmesan).

Have been going to this place for a few years now. A Hidden gem I have to say. Despite the casual diner look, the owner/chef takes his work quite seriously. Their burgers are one of the best I have had in BC. House made patties and spicy bbq sauce, topped with caramelized onion...thats some serious burger. Patties are smashed to crispy outside and beefy inside, buns are soft and veggies in the burger never had any wilted part over the last few years. Fries are also cut and cooked onsite and they are the crispiest real potato fried you will ever have. Try their parmesan fried and you will get their garlic aioli with them. Price is really reasonable for what you get, I would eat their burgers over Romer's anytime. Every detail goes in the food shows the owners passion for cooking. One thing to note tho is that since the owner cooks without help on order, it can take a bit of time for food. If you are going to try, go hungry but not starving yet. This is not a fancy high end boutique eatery or hipster Instagram spot, but rather a small hole in the wall place pushing out some serious burgers and fries. * Addition on Nov 1,2019: had to try breakfast on my day off. Breakfast sandwiches are pretty darn good. Crispy bacon, creamy sauce and sautéed onion with made to order eggs cracked fresh. French toast was really good with sofr bread with caramelized coating. This owner really knows how to cook.
