My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at the TownePlace Marriott hotel that we stayed at for our 1 year anniversary. Originally, we were planning to stay 2 nights only but extended it to 3 when it started raining hard on our third night camping. The Marriott went above and beyond and checked to make sure the same room we booked was available so we wouldn’t have to switch. The front desk also asked if we had other memberships as the one night alone was quite costly and was able to secure $40 off with our BCAA membership. They even let us check in earlier and had our room ready for 1pm.

Furthermore, we were able to bring our dog with us and they were very accommodating and it was nice to be able to bring him along and also to the outside patio area where we ate. My boyfriend and I brought all the leftover food and beverages we had from our camping and they even had a full size fridge in the kitchenette. We rented the studio king size bed with Lakeview room for about $300-400 per night. It was totally worth it as we cooked and ate every meal except for breakfast as they had a free continental breakfast served daily until 10am. We even used their outdoor barbecue grill for our steaks one night and they had seasonings and all the barbecue utensils to cook with!

They also had an indoor swimming pool, hot tub and slide! I even got to use their gym which didn’t have anybody in it at the time and was very clean. Since we came from camping and it rained one of the days while we were at the beach, we had dirty clothes and towels but were able to use their coin laundry on site. They even had single use laundry detergent and dryer sheets we bought and used!

Overall, I was very impressed with the service and any time we had a question or request to the front desk they were able to accommodate it all. Prior email, calls and chat messages was top notch as well. I’ve stayed at many luxury hotels and coming to this one exceeded my expectations!

It’s also very close to an off leash dog beach called Gellatly beach (~3 mins away) and stores like superstore, winners, Marshall’s, and Walmart if you need to grab anything during your stay.

Every single staff member was pleasant with a smile on their face and helped us with anything we needed! We will be coming...

I recently stayed at the Marriott Town Suites for 14 days and can say I ended up unpleasantly surprised given both previous Marriott property experiences were all excellent and recent stays at other chains had been hassle free.

The bad.

Housekeeping in one word …..sucked!

In 2 weeks, we had a grand total of 2 cleanings. GROSS.

We had expected due to Christmas and New Year’s, reduced service, but had to lower our expectations to pretty much zero. After 6 days of invisible housekeeping, we asked the front desk if we were getting housekeeping. According to that individual the system said housekeeping declined. News to us. We said not sure why the system would show that as we would like the room cleaned as per their policy of a weekly clean ??? and their “refresh” ??? every 2 days.

I have fixed the computer, she said . Our second visit from housekeeping occurred 6 days later.

Had to buy our own coffee. Buy our own Kleenex. Live with overflowing garbage and a shortage of clean towels. All for a premium rate.

The Picky Points

The sofa (bed) is the least comfortable of all time. Great if you are promoting people getting out vs relaxing in the room. Body numbness set in quite quickly.

The fan on the wall heater was so loud that you had to turn the sound up to 55-65 on the volume control every time it engaged.

A very picky point was that often when we were leaving, the front desk employee tended to avoid eye contact. I am used to a more engaging front desk particularly when the staff is so close to the front door.

The good.

Suite large with great view of lake. Comfortable bed. Nice kitchen although no table.

Personally, I will look elsewhere for my next visit, given the many fine choices...

I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful experience my family and I had during our recent stay at your establishment. Our time at TownePlace Suites was truly memorable, and I felt compelled to share our feedback.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality. The fact that you were able to accommodate our request for rooms on the same floor was greatly appreciated. It made our stay even more convenient and enjoyable.

The rooms at TownePlace Suites were not only clean but also impressively spacious. This allowed us to set up a balloon garland for my nephew's birthday celebration. (Please rest assured that we took care of the clean-up ourselves) and the accommodations remained impeccable throughout our stay.

The modern vibe of TownePlace Suites added a refreshing touch to our experience. We particularly loved having well-equipped kitchens in both of our rooms, which made it convenient to prepare meals when needed. The complimentary breakfast was a delightful surprise and added to the value of our stay.

While we had hoped to use the slide during our visit, we understood that it was closed at the time we were there. These things happen, and it didn't dampen our overall experience.

In summary, our stay at TownePlace Suites was nothing short of great. Your attention to detail, cleanliness, and dedication to guest satisfaction truly stood out. I want to extend our gratitude to the entire staff for making our stay great. We look forward to returning to TownePlace Suites for our future travels, and we'll be sure to recommend your establishment to friends and family.

Thank you once again for a...

It’s ok. The room equipment is very good. The curtains can completely dim the lights outside. I like the shower because it is very strong. Here are the negatives: The switches for the lights are hard to find and especially difficult when navigating in the dark. The breakfast bar is too small and filled with too many people. The staff are mostly ok, however Chery Kou Carcedo was definitely having a bad time. Constantly taking deep breaths and don’t want to give anyone eye contact. The charging station outside the hotel are for hotel guests only and the charge cost is too expensive. It is convenient, it’s just nobody would use it unless their car is so empty it wouldn’t run another 100meters. This is the biggest problem I had while staying here: the air conditioning and fan are too loud. I tried air conditioning, then fan only, both too loud. It feels like sleeping next to a jet engine at night. The washroom does not have air ventilation on/off switch. So if it stinks, you gotta turn on the kitchen vent and open the washroom door to wait and pray for the smell to disappear. The kitchen water faucet makes a loud rattling noise that shakes the entire room when you turn off the faucet. See video.
