Unfortunate Customer Service. Tonight I wanted to order take-out from the hotel next door. The app wasn't working, I tried ordering different things, ordering online on my laptop - wasn't working, tried ordering different menu items, tried different wireless networks..etc. and then tried calling the restaurant itself. Ended up with a loop of pre-recorded messages about a $5 coupon if you order online. So, after 30 min of struggling, I walked over to order (it is just next door)
I let my frustration & grievances be known to the night manager and she said i'm sorry - they were very busy tonight. I ordered my supper (not getting the $5 off coupon now, and the charge for a can of pop is $2.99 vs the online quote of $1.49!?) and none of my plastic cards would work. So I used the ATM to grab cash. Turns out none of the machines were working across the whole restaurant.
While waiting for my order, since it was going to be pretty quick, the bartender asks if i'd like something to drink. So I also buy a beer. Got my food, left. On the way out, there's a lineup at the ATM and the patrons said the waitresses were giving them the $3 service charge back for having to use the atm.
So I'm a little disappointed that all I got was a sorry, not the $5 coupon, not a free beer, not the $3 back for using the ATM. And this all took an additional hour after already working a 14 hour day. Though its all through unfortunate circumstances, not in their control, I think I'm being reasonable when I say a "beer on the house" or complimentary "INSERT HERE" goes a long way and it didn't happen for me. So I think i'll go the path of least resistance and I will traverse to the Boston Pizza across the street in the future.
Obviously this is an unlikely series of unfortunate events, but that's also the best opportunity for customer...
Read moreIt was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had dining out. Coming from calgary for a day at the beach for a family trip and hoping for a nice sit down meal. Hostess tried to split us into multiple tables and made us wait 30 minutes for seating (visibly empty tables in multiple areas with enough seating for the 6 of us). Waited 20 minutes for a drink order, then and additional 20 for food order. When food finally arrived 40 minutes later, without any cutlery, everything was stone cold, inedible and meat was at an unhealthy temperature (at a point where bacteria can grow on meat). We complained and the manager blamed the waitress (who was trying her best and clearly overworked) and said that we should have made a reservation (the resteraunt was visibly empty). The manager proceeded to say she would be right over and help the table. We waited 20 minutes and she never showed. The waitress came over with the bill for food we did not eat (2 meals were eaten as the boys were desperate for food and not eaten all day), and we asked for the manager again. She never showed. So we proceeded to the front where the manager hid while she sent the waitress out with a 20% off bill. We asked for the manager and when she finally arrived she said it was our fault and that she was busy and wasn't going to help us. The manager is casting undo hardship on her staff and running the place terribly. If food is inedible and cold just refire the dishes and everything should be fine. DO NOT blame the customer. After 2 and a half hours of waiting we had empty bellies, an angry baby and had to go to McDonald's. We never even got an "I'm sorry" or " let me fix that for you", instead we get a "what did you expect" and "whatever". Disappointed and...

When we first walked in, the waitress was super friendly and cheerful. She got our drink order right away which was great for a smaller town place. Most of us ordered the all-you-can-eat ribs special.
But man, did our food take forever! Our orders must've sat in the kitchen for like 45 minutes before we saw any food. And it came out one plate at a time instead of all together so stuff got cold quickly. We had a table of 7 people so we basically had to inhale our food as soon as we got it.
The waitress was running around like crazy the whole time but she never got any help from other staff. I felt bad for her!
And get this - when we went to pay the bill, we tried to use our discount from the Ramada we were staying at nearby. But apparently, that discount didn't apply to the rib special! The manager overruled the waitress.
Overall, this place seemed kind of poorly run and disorganized. The staff worked hard but they clearly need more support. I'd skip this place for now, especially if you're hungry! They've got potential with the rib idea but they need to get their act...
