Took a very long time to get our food, even our drinks took a while.. just seemed very unorganized. but the food was very good and we decided to give it a second chance on monday morning as we understand that weekends are busy. service was a bit quicker and the food was still tasty. when it came to the bill we as a group decided to tip as a group that came out of the other couples bill(i should not even have to explain the financial situation) but we paid first and didnt include the tip on our bill and the waitress looked at us and said “are you going to leave my tip in cash” and we looked at her and said “no” because once again i never think to have to explain our financial situation to anyone really, she asked if we were not pleased with the service and we assured her it was good. but she seemed not happy. I have NEVER had someone comment on their tip before as i understand tipping culture is a very hot take and will always tip (as we literally decided as a GROUP thats how we would do it), and it just left the worst taste in our mouth and will not be returning here ever again because of that. There were missing items on the plates (no sausage on one, no toast for another). The children's plate arrived with uncooked bacon. The potatoes were cold for everyone, as if they had been left on the counter for hours. By the look of the other customers around us, we were not the only ones waiting for our plates for over 40 minutes (the table right next to us was a lot more vocal than us about the long wait). The only positive is the place looks nice and the seats are comfortable. If I were to offer a constructive suggestion, it would be to consider slightly reducing portion sizes to minimize food waste.
