L'Oeufrier — Restaurant in Brossard

Stayed in montreal during a music festival, went here saturday and monday as well. Took a very long time to get our food, even our drinks took a while.. just seemed very unorganized. but the food was very good and we decided to give it a second chance on monday morning as we understand that weekends are busy. service was a bit quicker and the food was still tasty. when it came to the bill we as a group decided to tip as a group that came out of the other couples bill(i should not even have to explain the financial situation) but we paid first and didnt include the tip on our bill and the waitress looked at us and said “are you going to leave my tip in cash” and we looked at her and said “no” because once again i never think to have to explain our financial situation to anyone really, she asked if we were not pleased with the service and we assured her it was good. but she seemed not happy. I have NEVER had someone comment on their tip before as i understand tipping culture is a very hot take and will always tip (as we literally decided as a GROUP thats how we would do it), and it just left the worst taste in our mouth and will not be returning here ever again because of that. I never thought i would feel obligated to explain how we would be proceeding with our transaction or explain our financial situation. Also we tipped 20% each on saturday despite the delay...

Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience from start to finish. It took 45 minutes to receive our plates (including the children's plates). There were missing items on the plates (no sausage on one, no toast for another). The children's plate arrived with uncooked bacon. The potatoes were cold for everyone, as if they had been left on the counter for hours. By the look of the other customers around us, we were not the only ones waiting for our plates for over 40 minutes (the table right next to us was a lot more vocal than us about the long wait). The only positive is the place looks nice and the seats are comfortable. I understand that being a server is a tough job, so I still left a 15% tip, but if I had listened to myself, I would have left 0%. This was my first visit to L'Oeufrier Solar in Dix-30 was truly outstanding! We brought along 8 family members who were visiting from the Maritimes and Ontario. Despite being a newly opened restaurant, the service was exceptional. We received a warm welcome with big smiles, and English menus were promptly provided for our English-speaking guests. The team of servers was attentive throughout our meal, anticipating our needs and ensuring a customer-focused experience. The restaurant's ambiance is delightful, adorned with beautiful plant paintings that create a pleasant atmosphere. The menu is extensive and diverse, offering a range of delicious choices. I'm already looking forward to returning and highly recommend this fantastic spot for a fun brunch experience. However, due to its popularity, I recommend making a reservation in advance to secure your table. If I were to offer a constructive suggestion, it would be to consider slightly reducing portion sizes to minimize food waste. I noticed that many patrons left noticeable amounts of food on their plates, and adjusting portion sizes could help in this regard.

Bien qu'il s'agisse d'un restaurant récemment ouvert, le service était exceptionnel. Nous avons reçu un accueil chaleureux avec de grands sourires et des menus en anglais ont été rapidement proposés à nos clients anglophones. L'équipe de serveurs a été attentive tout au long de notre repas, anticipant nos besoins et assurant une expérience centrée sur le client.
