Came here to check the place out as it has been open for around a month. We all got the beef rice noodle soup and a couple other dishes to share. I chose the egg noodles; both were good options.
The food wasn’t bad but wasn’t amazing - broth could’ve had more depth. The beef cilantro dish is NOT worth $18.75, small pieces of meat and mostly red peppers in a pool of oil.
The service could’ve brought the rating higher but it wasn’t great. Everyone got their bowls about 15min before I got mine, and they were more than halfway done by the time my bowl came out. The server did apologize for the wait but they didn’t give us any updates until it came; weird that one small noodle type difference would cause a delay like that??? Unless they entered it in wrong. Our water was never refilled either.
Still enjoyed the noodle soup overall but wouldn’t go out of my way to come here.

Read moreWhat a great lunch at this little resto! We had been looking for a good pho in the area and Alei popped up on Google with a pic of the braised beef soup. Well, it’s not pho, but we love lots of kinds of noodles so gave it a try! To start off, service was friendly and helpful in choosing our meals. Not only that, it’s very efficient so if you are in a hurry, this is a great go-to! Out order of 6(!!👏) spring rolls was hot and yummy with super crispy whisper-light wrappers! The braised beef noodles and cabbage were excellent - al dente and soaked in the most delicious rich beef broth. The flavours reminded me a bit of corned beef - spiced but not spicy! The Mala noodle bowl is spicy but very manageable and when Candy saw that we could take the heat, she brought a little extra of her homemade chili paste - so nice!
We enjoyed the food, the service, and the conversation very much! Our first visit definitely won’t...
Read moreBurlington's newest gem is now open. This Chinese halal spot is a must visit place. Treat this place well because we would want to see it around for a long time. Prices are fair and portions are good. (With the exception of the beef cilantro). We loved the braised beef noodle soup and the chili pickled fried rice. Can't wait to try other things here.
We had a good service experience, the young girl with the purple hair, was exceptional, always checked in on us. The male (I believe, co owner), was very friendly and helpful, but was doing too much to check in frequently after our main server left. The second young girl who came in, either her shift started later but was on her phone behind the cash the entire time. My feedback is, service was inconsistent during my first time here.
Restaurant is a decent size, we had a group of 6 and very comfortably sat together. Menu is 100% halal. No alcohol served...
