I've gone to this BarBurrito in Burlington for lunch a few times and have never had an issue until today.
I arrived to BarBurrito at 12:15pm and ordered one of their Burrito Shell Bowls. The worker asked me politely what size I'd like & the usual questions of what kind of beans, or rice I'd prefer. Off to a good start.
When I saw the worker grab a styrofoam container, I asked him "What are you doing?". He told me "I'll put it in here as the bowl". Why on earth would I want my order thrown together in a container? I was then informed that it would take 5 minutes only for them to prepare the burrito shell bowl. To which I agreed as 5 minutes is a reasonable wait time.
I was shocked that this employee has been trained to not ask customer's if they'd prefer the burrito shell bowl (that they are paying for) in a styrofoam container, or if they'd prefer to wait "5 minutes only".
So I'm waiting.... I get to about 7 minutes and I politely ask "Is the bowl almost ready?" (I'm on my work break so time is of the essence).
I'm told "5 minutes is all it will take". Thinking to myself I'm a little past that, but I can deal.... 12 minutes comes by. I ask again a little more aggravated now "I was told this would be 5 minutes, we are over double that, will it be ready soon?" I'm told "two more minutes"
At the point of 17 minutes & watching 15 more customers come and go as I stood there - I gave up and walked out.
I enjoy their food - but I will NOT be going back to waste my time and poor customer service.
Personally - I think they are just cheap and trying to drive customers away from their expenses to bring up their margins. But hey -...
Read moreTLDR, good burritos, the owner is amazing, very kind, and did a good job making my burrito.
I have been going to this location for a while, ever since quasada started charging me for the sauce on my burrito as if it was a side earlier this year. Today's experience was excellent to the point that I decide to write this review. I ordered a large barbacoa burrito, two regular shrimp burritos. First even though they did not have a hard shrimp side she was willing to make them a large if i wanted. She then put on a generous amount of all the ingredients, didnt skimp on anything, plently of meat, plenty of veg, the perfect amount of rice and beans and especially the sauce, which seem to be a contentious subject at other burrito places /caught Quasada and burrito masters. As i was chatting with her i mentioned about some people complain when i ask for lots of sauce, she said "it is your burrito you should have it how you want". Then then said that if anyone at the location does that to let her know, , i asked if she was the manager and she said she was the owner. I was very surprised, usually owners at other burrito places make the worse burritos, and skimp on everything, but she was the...
Read moreStopped in for their 6$ promo day as they are close to my house, unfortunately not worth a second try. I tried the large spicy chicken Burrito. Was mostly rice and beans and not very much chicken. also, I think by spicy chicken they really mean salty chicken. Toppings were not the freshest. They use pickled jalapeno...very odd for a burrito place to not have really fresh veg. I got it with Hot sauce, thinking that, like most burrito places, it would be a habanero and garlic based sauce - it was franks red hot, or something like it. I'm guessing was same stuff they put on regular chicken to make spicy chicken. Most bites just tasted like rice with salty mush. The wrap was in a square shape, almost like a roti, and was barely grilled at all so tortilla was soft / mushy too. If you want a better Burlington burrito, best try a place called Burritoz, on Plains. 1 extra star because, at least it was only 7 bucks! Edit: I will contact you with the same message, I captured everything I had to say about the experience here. Thanks for wasting my time, again. I have removed a star for your poor canned response. Ps: I hope your franchisees...
