Sunnyside Grill in Burlington is a cozy and welcoming spot known for its hearty breakfast and brunch offerings.

Located in a convenient area along Appleby line, this diner-style restaurant is a favorite among locals for its generous portions, friendly service, and classic comfort food.

The menu features a wide variety of breakfast staples, including fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, and perfectly cooked eggs. Their signature dishes, such as the Sunnyside Classic Breakfast and Eggs Benedict, are particularly popular. For those looking for a lighter option, the restaurant also offers fresh fruit, yogurt parfaits, and omelets packed with vegetables. The coffee is rich and freshly brewed, making it the perfect complement to any meal.

One of the standout aspects of Sunnyside Grill is its welcoming atmosphere. The staff is warm and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant maintains a clean and cozy environment, making it an ideal spot for both solo diners and families.

While the place can get busy during peak hours, the wait is usually worth it for the quality of food and service. Overall, Sunnyside Grill in Burlington is an excellent choice for a satisfying breakfast or brunch, offering great food at reasonable prices in a...

When I was seated and then forgotton about, I had a chance to look around at this circus style, breakfast place. I saw one server running around, trying to fix mistakes and catch up with new customers. It was actually quite comical, if it wasn't sad. It would have been a better show if someone had given me a coffee to drink, while watching the show. I was there ten minutes before my buddy arrived- still no server or coffee. We finally got served, and I saw one couple getting late menu additions to the table. I saw them shaking their heads, then the guy just tippped what was on the plate he had, to theirs. As he walked away, the couple were still shaking their heads. The food arrived and it was just okay, warm but not hot. I thought the coffee was good and it would have been nice to be offered another, while eating my meal. I did get another later and again, it was good. Instead of fresh tea, they added water to the original teabag in the pot. I didnt realise how expensive teabags are today. It cost around $12 for breakfast, plus drink. I think the staff were trying but when you have just one server, a comedy is just one failed missing toast, or wrong order away. If you want an excellent breakast, dont come here, but if you want to...

I was in town for a Christian conference with a friend and needed a quick breakfast before heading out for the day. We stopped in at Sunnyside Grill in Burlington, and it turned out to be more than just a meal—it was a meaningful experience.

The place was clean, inviting, and the atmosphere had that friendly diner feel. I ordered three eggs with a side of sliced avocados, and my friend just had a water. We were on a bit of a tight schedule, so the waitress helped to get my order quickly.

But what really made our visit special was Sultan, the chef, who personally brought my plate to the table. I thanked him, told him how cool it was that he brought the food out himself, and asked if he was the chef. He confirmed, we shook hands, and I mentioned that my friend and I always pray before our meals and if there’s anything we can pray for him.

Sultan humbly shared that he was Muslim, but said we could pray for his family. He stood with us respectfully while we prayed for him, and for the meal. It was a great exchange.

After we finished and paid, we also gave our waitress a Gospel tract called The 3 Big Questions and asked her to pass it on to Sultan.

The food was great, the price was fair, and the service was...

I usually order from here for takeout and it is usually great. But haven’t ordered for awhile and on Canada day decided to order takeout. The waitress on the phone didn’t ask the usual questions ex. How do you like your eggs etc so she kept mentioning “deleting and have to re-enter it” multiple times. Guessing she was new. Went to pickup and it wasn’t busy as it was super early, only one person was sitting. Everything looked fantastic and I like my eggs poached hard which is what I ordered. Upon cutting it yolk oozed out everywhere and on top of it - half an eggshell was in the Benedict as pictured along with all the egg yolk. I actually had bit into eggshell and had to spit it out as it was hard to see with the hollandaise. So literally had to examine and take everything apart to ensure there were no more shells. I can understand if it was busy and they were rushing, but it was not the case.

I would have to say this is a very average restaurant. It has some unique features like the 50s counter to eat at but overall just doesn't stand out. Our waitress was great but she never did come around to refill our coffee and it took a bit to get a spoon for sugar but again she was friendly and we had no complaints about her. The main thing was that the food was very bland. It really lacked any flavour. The home fries had spice on them but we didn't taste it and my husbands toast was obviously burnt but was sent out anyway. If you are someone with bland tastes or have dietary restrictions calling for simple foods then this may be the place for you but it just wasn't a place that would draw us back. If I could add one this would rate the Meh emoji as we didn't really have any complaints but nothing to really compliment.
