READ THIS HONEST AND TRUE REVIEW... I hardly waste my time doing reviews on restaurants. But this one needs to put out there. Actually, this place does not even deserve a star!! My family of 5 went there for all you can eat wings last night to celebrate Fathers Day with my husband because we are busy on actual Fathers Day with our elderly fathers. We saw an advertisement on Facebook about they had all you can eat wings for $19.99. My husband has been wanting wings for awhile so we thought we would try it. Well, at St. Louis Burlington, it was more like ALL YOU CAN WAIT!!! St. Louis calls it Wing Insanity for $19.99. But its more like THE WAIT IS INSANITY because the wait to get your wings drives you bloody insane!! We all ordered AYCE WINGS except my grandson who was 5yrs old wouldn't eat much. We just thought we would all give him a couple pieces to nibble on. Well, waitress comes back " Umm..if you are gonna give him a few wings to share, you will have to order kids fries." So, we did. Ok then, she comes back with " You have to order a beverage" My husband and son already had ordered a beer each. Ok so daughter and I ordered a drink, which included refills. So, the WAIT begins at 8pm on a Friday night. Let me say this place wasn't super busy. There were customers in there but manageable. We finally get our 1st order about 10 wings and fries. As soon as our order was delivered to the table we put our next order in to avoid a wait. My husband, son and daughter love to eat wings, so at an AYCE they EAT! Ok now you would think, if you put an order ahead of time it should come out by the time you finish your 1st one, right?? NOPE WRONG!! NOT AT St. Louis Bar & Grill!! We finished. And the WAIT BEGINS..we play I Spy with my grandson which took quite a few minutes. X's and O's. Hangman.. And another HALF HOUR GOES BY!! Yes, to get an order that was placed at the delivery of 1st order. Well, 2nd order comes finally with like less wings then the first maybe with 6. So we order yet again ahead of time to avoid a WAIT. After 2nd order was eaten, the 3rd was not delivered yet again. So, during the wait my son takes my grandson outside for walk because he was getting bored WAITING. By the time they came back into the restaurant which was quite a bit of time because they had walked around the whole mall building, the 3rd order was still NOT DELIVERED. Yes, like 45 mins to get an all you can eat. REALLY???!! So, my son is like ok I will play their game since the restaurant closes at 2am, we will stay until then to get as advertised ALL YOU CAN EAT not all they want to give you! Finally, 3rd order comes out with 4 wings in the smallest bowl!! 4 WINGS!!! UNBELIEVABLE!! Ughhh...Oh forgot, my husband had less wings then the rest of us because apparently the chef/cook forgot to 'drop enough' in to cook so waitress said "It will be out in a minute." So before she left we put our 4th order in, I don't know why because they obviously don't care about customers or service or false advertisement here. Since my husband didn't get his full order, I was giving him some of my 4 wings, which really wasn't a reasonable amount of wings for an order for which a nice customer was kept waiting for a long period of time. His order DID NOT COME in a minute, but it did come well after we were all done eating our 4 wing order. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!! THIS PLACE GIVES CUSTOMER SERVICE A NEW MEANING!! WE WILL NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! EVER!! Trust me when a place purposely ensures your experience there to be negatively memorable, I will ensure to inform everyone I know ALL OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY how HORRIBLELY THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS!! To have customers WAIT over 3hrs to get an advertised item and NOT ACTUALLY GET ALL YOU CAN EAT! Anyways I apologize for the long review. But it left me so upset. I want people to know who look at reviews before trying places to NOT TO GO HERE. Although, we had 3hour WAIT, we were cracking up jokes about the WAIT and SERVICE and the waitress just looked at us like we...
Read more3RD UPDATE: We went again last night and the service was incredible. We had Angela serving us and she was amazing and was super sweet to our daughter as well! Can’t wait to go back!
2ND UPDATE: My husband and I went back to St. Louis Bar & Grill today as I was craving some wings and I have to applaud their customer service. Our original server recognized us and came over to our table to apologize to us for the previous incident (which she did not have to do) so we really, truly appreciated that. The manager, Haley, also came over to speak with us, which we appreciated as well. We had a new server today and she was great as well. My husband and I truly appreciate the effort put into the customer service we received today because good customer service is hard to find nowadays. This team did everything they could to make the issue right and I can say that we’ll be back again and again due to this! Thank you again for an amazing experience! I definitely recommend this location to anyone who’s craving some great wings and great customer service!
UPDATE: One of the managers, Haley, reached out to me and has apologized for the issue and offered to refund the charge for my meal. I appreciate you making an effort to resolve the situation so I have updated my rating based on her customer service and I will give this location one more shot. Hopefully, it doesn't disappoint!
Last night was my third visit to this location and unfortunately, it will be my last. I was originally so glad to have found this place a few months back as my husband is vegetarian and enjoys their plant based wings. I've tried their plant based wings once as well and they're pretty good, but the boneless wings have just been horrible. I tried to give them another shot last night, but it was the same. All of the wings are either overcooked or undercooked with barely any sauce on them. The reason for my rating is because I found a piece of a napkin in between one of my boneless wings when I cut it open with a fork and knife. That is absolutely DISGUSTING! When I called the server over to mention it to her, she just looked at me and said "Sorry". Seriously? That's your response? She did offer to get me more wings, but at this point, I was too disgusted to eat there. She ended up handing us our bill and charged us for the full meal. She didn't offer to remove my order due to the unsanitary food or even a discount off of my meal. I didn't even get to finish my food. I wish I would have taken a picture before I left, but I was just too annoyed with the establishment that I forgot. We will NEVER be returning to...
Read moreEdit- The below still applies- the pasta is a horrible substitute for the quesadillia.
St Louis head office made the decision to change a delicious menu item with an awful item.
But
This isn't the store's fault. Delaney and her team go above and beyond to take care of their guests..
This place is one of the best places for wings and beer in the area. The fries with garlic dip put it over the edge.
You won't be disappointed if you go here.
Unless you order the pasta from the kid's menu. My daughter and I go here a few times a year.
Their wings/boneless are always tasty enough (despite the honey hot not being anywhere hot enough), the fries and dill sauce are like crack, and the service is always friendly.
What annoys me is(and it's not exclusive to this location) :
Serving Pepsi over Coke products. 3 of the 4 best selling soft drinks are Coca-cola products for a reason. To counteract the poor soft drink selection, a better beer selection would be nice. I've given up asking for Creeemore Springs Lager- the tap is still there, but the beer never is. We're forced to slum it with your typical generic domestic beers. The decision to revamp the kid's menu is foolhardy. Nobody goes to St Louis for pasta. The pizza quesadillia was a hit. It was delicious. But now,it's gone and has been replaced with some generic microwaved pasta. To quote my daughter tonight " it's ok. Nowhere near as good as the pizza quesadilla". This change for the sake of change is ill-advised and needs to be revisited.
These 3 issues are the only thing keeping this chain from a higher rating.
Tonight's bill after tip was 49 dollars. I don't mind paying good money for good food ( I'd pay more for better beer) but 9 dollars for a bowl that was AT best 1/3rd full of TV dinner quality pasta(that doesn't come with fries)is...
