Bento Box — Restaurant in Burlington

An unassuming gem. Outstanding sushi - some of the best I've ever had. The price was more than reasonable. I had the dinner special and paid less than $18 with tip. The service was fast, attentive and informative.

Premier fish quality, so tender it melts in your mouth. The chef paired each piece with an accent that enhanced the flavour wonderfully. Most places use way too much rice but here it was the perfect amount, even in the rolls, so the other ingredients took center stage. But still the rice was cooked to perfection, sticky and tender but with each individual grain distinct. And the seaweed in the rolls was easy to chew instead of leaving a gunky mass in your mouth like sub-par rolls often do.

Also of note, the salad was extra crispy and the dressing was delicious - not too sweet but incredibly flavourful. The green tea was perfect; no trace of tannic bitterness but smooth and subtle, just like green tea should be. Even the pickled ginger stood apart. It was crunchie and pure, free of the pink dye and aspartame too many places use.

Whether you are a sushi veteran like myself or new to it, I would highly recommend...

If you're around Burlington and looking for a decent Japanese or Korean meal, Bento Box is an okay option.

The food is pretty standard—nothing fancy, but it gets the job done if you're craving sushi, bento, or a Korean food combo. The portions are fair, and the prices aren’t too bad for what you get. I tried the Tempura, Sashimi and Sushi Combo, and Bibimbap. While it wasn’t super memorable, it was quite tasty enough. The sushi is fresh, though not exceptional, and the presentation is simple and price is reasonable. The place itself has a casual vibe, more like a quick bite than a dining experience. The service was fine and friendly.

Overall, it’s not the kind of spot you go out of your way for, but if you're in the area and want something easy and Korean or Japanese-inspired, it’ll do. Just keep your expectations moderate, and you’ll probably...

This is an another visit for my daughter's birthday party. She wanted to go back for her birthday. I asked chef to make something like cake shape of sushi...He brought an amazing volcano cake!! OMG!!...that was fantastic and my daughter loved it...Thanks chef...thanks for great service. I heard that their owner has been changed recently...definitely they have better service and fresh foods with lots of portions... see you soon chef...

Two months ago...(I don't know how to add new reviews) Amazing place for sushi...I visited so many sushi restaurants but this place has freshest sushi I never had...and tastes really good... My kids never try sushi at other place but in here they ate most of all kinds of food (not sashimi) and they love it...definitely gotta go back again...Owner and serving was very kind and satisfied...can't wait...
