It is not a secret to foodies at all that Halton Region (Esp. Burlington/Oakville) lacks an authentic and delicious Vietnamese restaurant (though there were some, but all of that sucks! I needed to commute to Mississauga/Richmond Hill/Scarborough for an authentic and delicious Pho.....sigh). As a foodie, it is a super happy and exciting news that Dear Saigon comes to our town for authentic cuisine. While we all know that there were already 4 franchised Dear Saigon in Scarborough, Richmond Hill, North York, and Down town, finally another franchise arrived in Burlington!!!!!
Although the restaurant is now welcoming its relatives and friends (Grand-opening date will be announced soon in instagram/Facebook and there will be a BOGO promotion), I entered the restaurant unexpectedly for my late lunch (and early dinner) today. I never expected that I can have such a delicious dinner and entitled to a discount of 15% off and a further cash 5% off at the 1st-day of soft opening (Discount will be valid for futher 2 weeks during their recent soft opening).
The interior design and decoration inside are contemporary and Oriental. It blends modern aesthetics with traditional Vietnamese elements, creating a comfortable dining environment. The staff is attentive and friendliness, enhancing the overall dining experience. The young owner sisters Oanh of this restaurant is nice, humble, and friendly. The five Dear Saigon franchise owner is also nice and sociable, and she is willing to listen to customers' constructive feedback for their ongoing improvement and progress.
The vibe inside is chilly and cozy, while the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Nevertheless, the food is delicious. We firmly believe this Dear Saigon is the BEST Vietnamese and Pho restaurant in Burlington and Oakville at the time being (Hopefully, more delicious Viet and Chinese restaurants will be arriving in Halton Region soon)
Their menu showcases traditional Vietnamese dishes crafted with high-quality ingredients. Their pho, a signature item, features a broth simmered for six hours, delivering rich and comforting flavors. Patrons can choose from various pho options, including rare beef, brisket, and the distinctive back Rib Bone & Rare Beef combination. Beyond pho, the menu includes satay noodles, vermicelli bowls, and shareable appetizers, ensuring a diverse selection for all palates. I also love their grilled chicken and pork rice (although there is no selection of pork chop and desserts at the moment)
Those interested in experiencing genuine Vietnamese cuisine should visit this restaurant in Burlington. With a dedication to authentic flavors, a warm atmosphere, and exceptional service, Dear Saigon offers a memorable dining experience that resonates with both newcomers and seasoned enthusiasts of Vietnamese food.
To Oanh and Owners: Congratulations on the new opening! Fighting and please keep up the food and service in an excellent high standard!!! Cheers!
Update: To someone from HONG KONG who did not entitled to a discount and lost his temper. PLEASE DO NOT blame me WITHOUT ANY SENSE , YMMV !!!! My genuine comment IS NOT AN ADVERTISEMENT, Please be respectful and communicate youself well with the restaurant saking for your own good.

Read moreMy husband and I decided to try this restaurant after hearing several positive reviews and thought it would be a nice change from our usual Vietnamese spot. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet our expectations.
Upon arrival, we quickly realized the restaurant was not air-conditioned. With outdoor temperatures exceeding 40°C, the few fans placed around the space provided little relief. This made for an extremely uncomfortable dining experience, particularly for our toddler and newborn. Coupled with a hot bowl of soup, we were all uncomfortably overheated by the end of our meal.
Service was average—nothing remarkable, but not poor. That said, we had our order ready for about 10 minutes before anyone came by, so I eventually had to bring the menus and our order to the front myself. Due to a large group that had arrived before us, I can’t fairly comment on the kitchen’s speed in preparing food.
The pricing is slightly higher than what you'd expect at a typical Vietnamese restaurant, likely reflecting the more upscale decor and presentation. While the dishes are visually appealing and the atmosphere is more refined than your typical Vietnamese spot, the portions—particularly the protein content—felt underwhelming for the price.
On a positive note, the broth was flavourful and served piping hot, which we couldn't fully appreciate however because of how hot it was inside. However, despite each adult ordering a bowl of noodles, we all left hungry and ended up making a second dinner at home..
Overall, I would rate this restaurant 3 stars. While the food had potential, the lack of comfort due to the heat, portion size, and value for the price left us disappointed. We won’t be returning, especially with so many other Vietnamese restaurants in Burlington and Hamilton that offer better quantity and value as well as quick service for a more enjoyable...

A Unique Vietnamese Dining Experience in Burlington!
I can’t say enough good things about Dear Saigon! This restaurant brings a whole new level of Vietnamese cuisine to Burlington. The ambiance is modern yet cozy, with a thoughtfully designed layout that blends traditional touches with a contemporary feel. The presentation of the food is nothing short of spectacular.
We ordered a variety of dishes, and every single one was phenomenal. The standout for me was the tower of fresh ingredients – a beautiful three-tiered display of herbs, noodles, and thinly sliced beef, perfect for assembling your own bowls of pho. It’s interactive and adds a touch of elegance to the meal.
The beef pho was outstanding, with a rich, fragrant broth and a generous portion of tender, flavorful meat served in a rustic stone bowl to keep it hot. The lemongrass beef on rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned, paired with fresh, vibrant veggies. The shrimp skewers were grilled to perfection – crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside – and the crispy spring rolls had a delightful crunch with a flavorful filling.
The attention to detail in both the food and presentation truly sets this place apart. Nothing else in Burlington comes close to this level of quality and authenticity. Plus, the friendly staff and quick service make the whole experience even better.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience with delicious, authentic Vietnamese food, Dear Saigon is the place to be! Highly recommend...
