ENORMOUS PORTIONS!!! I am NOT one to complain about getting a great bang for your buck meal, but GOOD LORD! Giving these kinds of portions will run the place out of business!!! Kid #1 had a foot long hot dog and fries. Ate everything but a couple fries, his review was "SUPER YUMMY!" Kid #2 had chicken fingers and fries. Chicken fingers are a little over breaded, but came out hot and the plum sauce added some tastiness. Wife had cabbage rolls which comes with a HUGE serving of "mashed" potatoes along with anoth heaping portion of peas and carrots. Veggies were just steamed from frozen, and we're fine, cabbage rolls are apparently made in house, and we're good, but "the frozen Roma cabbage rolls from Fortinos are better", says my wife. The "mashed" potatoes, I call them that because the were basically boiled potatoes that just got smashed open, which is FINE, but mashed potatoes are supposed to be rather whipped and quite creamy. The Real unfortunate thing about the potatoes was the were smothered in thick goopy gravy that was not hot and the only seasoning in the gravy that you could taste was salt... ALLOT OF SALT! It made the potatoes inedible. Such a shame and such a waste of food. My in-laws very much enjoyed the salmon eggs Benedict and the deep fried shrimp over yellow rice with a huge Greek salad. The rice and the home fries that came with the eggs got about 1/4 finished before tapping out on them. Again.... TOOOO big a portion. For me, I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich, which was quite under whelming, lacked seasoning and the cheese was nowhere near melted enough, just meh really. I also ordered a poutine, which the fries were very tasty, BUT... that cold thick, gloopy and VERY SALTY gravy smothered all over, making it impossible to eat and enjoy. The gravy wasn't even hot enough to melt the shredded cheese (not cheese curds) that were under the gravy and on the fries. It's such a shame to waste so much food.

Place was very busy, it shouldn't have been, 3 or 4 dine in tables including my party of 6 plus Skip/Uber eats orders, should NOT be overwhelming, BUT, with 1 server and 1 guy in the kitchen (both of whom are very nice)... They were indeed overwhelmed. Took over 45 minutes for our food to come.

We did get a plate (more like a platter) of fries as comp for the long wait, which was nice but considering the portion sizes... completely not necessary. We did try 2 of the deserts, the date square (microwaved from frozen - I know this because it was warm in the outside area but cold in the middle - and a apple crumble cheese cake - both tasted fine enough, but again, much too big. My 2 inlaws couldn't finish the cheese cake and the date square was the size of my hand, my wife and I together couldn't finish it

Prices were reasonable. Staff were apologetic and friendly, but unfortunately we won't be coming back. Skyway dinner is closer to us and the quality of food is better with much more reasonable portion sizes.

Advice... trim down the menu a bit, focus on what you do best, and DEFINITELY reduce the portion sizes (by at...

We heard about the new menu items coming out and were blessed to try them. The Chef has deep culinary skills and recipes for many worldly dishes. A real treasure of cooking from the heart. Have had many breakfasts here with my family and am excited for things to come from the Chef. A great addition to the community offering broad selection of meals and drinks and fresh home style cooking. We wish you could taste the photos to truly understand the freshness and attention to detail/art of the Chefs cooking. Expand your culinary horizons and chat with Nav about what you like and how you would like it (mild, medium, spicy, sweet, hot, cold, etc.). The Lamb was carefully sourced as it was fresh and tender. The Curry for the Lamb had just the right amount and blend of spices and was served medium-level as we requested. The Basmati style long grain rice was also cooked to perfection. The Fish Pakoras were unlike anything I have ever had and paired well with the spicy mint sauce. The batter was perfect and the Tilapia fish inside the Parkoras were meaty and juicy and not dry at all from frying. Its some kind of magical process. Served over a bed of fresh crispy green peppers and red onions. The Naan bread is incredible and not too thick and chewy like some other places. Adding garlic to the Naan turned up the flavor! The Naan really pairs well with the Pakora (Iike a fish taco), and the Rice and Lamb and Curry and Biryani too. To top everything off we had the fresh, hand-crafted cold Cheese/Milk dessert (Rasgullas/RasMalai, I think) and hot Indian Hot Syrup-Soaked Donut Holes (Gulab Jamun, I think). We wish Nav success in his endeavor to share these tastes with us all. Give it a try and be understanding with the work and effort it takes to bring us fresh, high quality, home made family foods. Sorry there are no pics of the Fish Pakora because we were fighting over eating them all so fast (careful, hot) we forgot to snap a pic. Next time we will. The portions were generous and great value all around. Took out the leftovers and kept eating them for another meal or two. ENJOY! PS-Still serving all the breakfast/lunch traditional favorites too and we think the diner will be open later. Don't forget to take a break for...

Luk’s diner is the epitome of comfort. You are welcomed as soon as you open the door. An awesome hard working family with heart warming service! I’m so happy to say, this has become our new go-to for lunch or dinner. Chef Luk makes some seriously amazing food! So good, that we ordered food for Christmas celebration. We had been chatting with the family every time we went in and we came to find out that Luk makes amazing, traditional Greek food. He even makes his own phyllo pastry! My mother in-law used to make us spinach and cheese pie. Unfortunately, age has hindered her making it. We were reminiscing with Luk about the spinach and cheese pie she used to make. How we missed it so. Luk offered to make us a tray for our Christmas celebration. I can honestly say this was the absolute best spinach and cheese pie we have ever had! (Shhh don’t tell mom) we were in heaven! The filling, the phyllo, the cheese, the seasoning! Mmmm soooo good! If you want to try it, they have it on as a special right now! Everything we’ve tried is delicious! The Banquet burger is to die for! You want more comfort? Try the Shepherds Pie! Or the Beef Brisket! Oh my gosh, the chicken parmesan! You will love the fries! So crispy and light! Want dessert? Try the rice pudding or the baklava. You won’t be sorry! Luk’s is much more than a breakfast diner....

Ok, this is tough. I have to say it was quite possibly the worst food diner experience i have ever had. We waited 30 minutes for a hot hamburger plate and chicken souvlaki dinner. No words can discribe how bad this was. The hamburger was litterly a slab of ground beef fresh out of the Styrofoam dish, fried up and plopped on super greasy soggy fries. The gravy? The pic speaks for itself. I swear it was either soya sauce or super concentrated burnt beef stock. It was an oily tar like substance... Litteraly inedible. The souvlaki was not souvlaki, defrosted cheap breast pan fried, no Greek seasoning. Rice was horrible. Greek salad Salad had a balsamic vinaigrette topped with mushy goat cheese or low quality feta. I should have known, it was empty the whole 30 minutes with the exception of a lady getting carrot cake for take out. We asked about the fish special was told a fish type we have not heard of, google did not either. The people were nice enough. We obviously didn't eat it and we offered to pay for drinks they indicated to not worry about it. With this food quality it is very obvious that the cook was not a cook, no way anything remotely close like this should have came out of any kitchen. I understand they have new owners I hope they see this and fix it right away as we went because of the great reviews. It was really 😔 sad.

When Luke's Dinner replaced the fish and chips place, I have been wanting to try this place out. From the outside it looked like they made some renovations. Doesn't look they had to do extensive remodeling to get it open for customers. The inside is very clean and quite modern, but has the family feel. When we first entered we were welcomed warmly by Marianna. We were directed to a booth and were told the specials of the day. The restaurant was very clean. I ordered Fried Calamari and the Chicken Souvlaki Dinner and my friend ordered Corned Beef on Rye. I can't say enough how amazing the food was!!! The presentation of the food was amazing as well!! I was definitely full by the end of the meal and even took some home for left overs! The portion size was right. All food was cooked as ordered. Luk was busy firing up some orders with another kitchen help! Kudos to both of them for executing amazing food to customers. I highly recommend this place to anyone! I will definitely be coming back and will want to try their breakfast.
