MollyCake — Restaurant in Burlington

I love the macaroons here so much, I decided to have them on my 'sweets table' at my wedding, as well as a small cake for myself and husband to cut during the reception. Everything went well until the day before, when I was to pick up the treats. I called to say I would be there within an hour to make sure everything was ready and good to go, as I was rather busy doing final touches for the big day. Once I arrived, my cake was the wrong colour (which I had gone in to the store in person, and sent an image by email for them to reference) and the macaroons were still not boxed. To rectify the situation the owner (I believe) said they would deliver it to the destination the net morning and as long as our dishes were there, they would set it up for us as well. This was great news! The next morning, my husband and his crew arrived at the vendor and our dishes are still sitting in the office, and when he asked about Molly Cake using them to set up, our concierge informed him they had said they 'knew nothing about that, and another company was coming to do it.' My husband and his groomsmen were left to set up the table, at 11am, stressed out. Communication between staff members needs to be addressed to avoid instances that leave people feeling rushed and anxious. We were so happy with our wedding cake—it turned out exactly how we had pictured it! The florist left fresh flowers for the cake, and Christine arranged them beautifully on the three-tier design (along with our cake topper)

The flavours were just as perfect as the presentation. We had raspberry lemon for the top and bottom tiers and vanilla for the middle. The sponge of the cake was light, moist, and absolutely delicious.

I’m admittedly fussy when it comes to buttercream, but both the raspberry and vanilla were truly phenomenal. The texture was silky and smooth, with just the right amount of sweetness—rich enough to feel indulgent, but never heavy.

The raspberry buttercream actually tasted like fresh raspberries (not just pink and sweet—real raspberry flavour), and the vanilla bean buttercream surprised me by being one of my favourites, even though I usually don’t go for vanilla. Every bite was absolute heaven.

Christine was also lovely to work with—kind, responsive, and made everything feel easy. We’re so glad we chose Molly Cake for our wedding and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend...

I recently ordered a sweet sixteen birthday cake, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! The cake was absolutely beautiful, capturing every detail I requested and more. It was clear that a lot of care and creativity went into its design. Not only did it look stunning, but the flavours were so perfectly rich and delicious. The cake was three tiers, with a creme mousseline filling, and Swiss meringue buttercream.

The customer service at Molly Cake was exceptional from start to finish. The team was friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure our cake was exactly what we wanted. They offered valuable suggestions and kept us updated throughout the process, ensuring everything was perfect for the big day.
