I guess there's a 1st time for everything...
The customers ahead of us had ordered 2 tuna subs. I always advise of a fish allergy right off the bat, but if I see, specifically at places such as sandwich shops, that the tuna has been used immediately before my turn to order, I am a little more particular about the clean up process.
Thankfully, my allergy does not present too intensely, but it's still quite unpleasant and not any way Id like to spend my afternoon. The woman behind the counter began the clean up process by starting to put new gloves on. I simply made a comment about washing hands and changing gloves AFTER the workspace had been properly cleaned. I wasn't rude or pushy (the customers ahead of me could confirm as well as my kid) but this woman started raising her voice, telling me to "calm down, ma'am" and that she "knew what to do" and that I was "going too fast". She was slamming things away and wiping the counter down, resulting in some pieces of tuna falling into the other toppings. Based on that and her putting the gloves on, it indicated to me that maybe she didn't know what to do and it created a small sense of anxiety for me. She was incredibly rude and unprofessional to the degree that we actually walked out. As we walked out, she shrieked, "Why!?"
I didnt answer because the facial expressions of the other customers, myself and the other gentleman serving at the till, I didn't feel the need to explain myself.
Definitely not an excellent experience. Subway was far more understanding and...
Read moreOn October 19th 2024 my 25 year old daughter and I entered this location at 491 Appleby Line. I handed the older lady the coupon before ordering and asked what subs this applied to. Her response was any of them. We ordered a pizza sub and 2 Canadian clubs. When it came to toppings we asked for cucumber we were given 4 slices on each foot long. The tomatoes were mushy and the lettuce was brown. The pizza sub gets warmed up in a microwave??? When it came time to pay I was surprised at the total. I asked if they applied the coupon. The older gentleman said they had and the coupon was only valid on 1 sub. I reminded them that I had asked in the beginning which subs the coupon applied to. They told me I should have read the coupon myself. I asked what if I can’t read or have a disability of some kind. The older gentleman’s response was “you are from Canada right.” They continued to raise their voices and talk over me. I told them I would make sure others know the quality is terrible! It’s the bad attitudes they both displayed combined with poor customer service that will keep me out of this establishment in the future. So...
Read moreThis restaurant consistently provides small portions of meat on their subs. I have gone here multiple times thinking that each small portion I had received was a one-off instance, but they continue to disapoint. In today's Louisiana chicken sub, I had 4 small/thin pieces of chicken that didnt even come close to covering a 6 inch section of the sub. It was essentially bread and vegetables. In the restaurant's attempt to cut costs, they have lost a customer and likely others who dont bother to take the time to review. Do yourself a favour, if you are set on Mr. Sub, skip this location and go to the location at Uppermiddle and Guelph line if you are in the Burlington area. Ordering from this location is a...
