I grew up eating Vince's pita's in Streetsville and still visit the original location often so there is no excuse for what i was just served. My pita was torn on both sides, and couldn't be eaten properly at all, and in most cases i'd be ok with that but this particular pita was a SOUP AND SALAD WRAP. The woman behind the counter filled my LARGE CHICKEN shawarma with 95% lettuce which looked yellow rather than green, she then proceeded to scoop the last of the tabouli which was mostly water and dumped it (easily a full scoop of liquid) on my pita as if some how it wasn't going to soak the bread making a soggy mess. As i thought at this point she'd be turning around to cut fresh meat off the spit for me, she instead opened a container of old meat and scooped cold chicken that looked like yesterday's clippings on to my pita and looked at me proudly while asking "GARLIC-HOT?" which i understood even though it wasnt' complete sentences. I said yes please and she took out a tube of sauce with 4 holes on the top and did about 10 laps up and down my pita before ripping it to shreds while i watched a layer a centimeter thick of white goo ooze out into the paper. This puddle of sauce didn't have a drop of hot sauce in it. while she did hold both in her hand, only one blasted out liquid. Now i'm sure there are people who ask for extra sauce, but like 10x4 lines? is there someone out there who feels the need to have 30-40 lines of garlic sauce? I have seen many add a little to each bite while eating in store, but for a regular "yes" to sauce this seemed to be a tidal wave of sauce.
I now had a 1lb brick of disgusting wet bread and salad in my hand. Upon opening it in the car, i realized it would be impossible to eat this by hand and it was already cold as ice so i would try to get home fast and eat there... the paper bag now dripping, i opened it on to a plate when i got home and it poured liquid everywhere.
This is my second experience there... the first was no better, but i choose to be kind and ignore the mishap, Frankly, either fire your staff, or teach them that if people are paying for food we want FRESH food at the least. Then send the new people to train on Queen Street. This is horrible and not even close to what we expect from this chain and wouldn't be tollerated in that area. Burlington deserves better than this trash from this chain.
honestly, i ashamed to call this a pita nutsy or nutso
One staff member all by themselves and I was the only customer even parked in that area of the plaza, Still this was the best they could do?
I drove by a zesty pita, a monfort's and a osmow's today and i clearly made the wrong choice stopping here. Go...
Read moreVery poor service.Yesterday I went in and made an order for 11 people in the film crew. The guy was serving and laughing all the time. He invited into the kitchen of the restaurant. Then apologize. All time warrant asked what and how much. I ordered one veggi, two with felyafel and chicken, six just chicken (they are very cool), one hot, one beef. All the time he asked and was cheerful. I paid through the debit. On the counter punched out the finished sandwiches another boy .. He also marked what sandwiches. But he marked by mistake, as it turned out. I paid extra for a cola and left. When I arrived at the crew, I found out that there were not enough three sandwiches with chicken. I returned. I showed them a bill and order and said that there were not enough sandwiches. They began to laugh together. The guy showed an empty pile from the pita and said that he opened it, there were 12 pcs, he used everything. I did not argue, I realized that it does not work well. I did mind paying extra for two more. I did it to fulfill the request of the group. I ordered two more chicken sandwiches, paid separately, took the order and left. When the guys were doing the order, the two of them laughed, although I do not understand why. The order was done a long time. If anyone came in from visitors ,guy took the order without completing my order. I think that's why they were wrong. From inattention. I understood the deception when they did not even understand the order of my return. To deal with my situation, they did not want to. I do not mind my money. I'm writing to not come...
Read moreVery poor. Twice now, I have been to this place within the span of a year during the pandemic, and both times, I have been given chicken after explicitly stating I wanted lamb or beef. The first time, I think the lady said that they didn't have lamb or beef, though it just sounded like incomprehensible mumbling with a passive-aggressive tone, so I didn't bother asking for clarification; okay, it may have been a one-off incident. Second time, I was given chicken again, although she didn't justify why she had to give me chicken. Also, I could tell she was just as irritable as the first time, so I didn't say anything further. If you don't offer something that's listed on the menu, then why not change the menu? This is just a very unprofessional way of conducting yourself as a business owner.
The food itself was pretty terrible as well. Practically everything was drenched in grease (rice, potatoes, and chicken) to the point of becoming nearly inedible. Worse though, is that I had a nasty case of "gastrointestinal symptoms" the following morning, and no, it was no coincidence.
People are free to choose where they want to eat, but there are plenty of better options in the area that won't leave you feeling like you're about to suffer a...
