Incident time : 6:00-6:10 pm , Friday , 21st march 2025 .
I had a very unpleasant experience while picking up my order. The lady assisting with the process was unnecessarily rude and aggressive. Despite my repeated confirmation, she kept insisting on checking my personal device, even though I clearly stated multiple times that it wasn’t necessary. Instead of listening, she became hyper-focused on it.
I politely suggested that she cross-check with the delivery company, which would have been a much easier solution. After repeatedly telling her, she finally went to call them. In the meantime, I showed my device to another staff member, who verified everything and confirmed that I was good to go. However, even after this, she continued insisting on checking my phone until the same staff member reassured her again.
The way I was treated felt unfair and uncomfortable, as if I was being singled out. This experience was completely unnecessary, and I hope the company ensures better training to handle such situations with professionalism and respect.

Following up with your review and response-
I fully understand and respect the verification process, as I have been doing this job for a long time and am well aware of the procedures. However, my concern is not about the verification itself but about the unprofessional, aggressive, and unnecessary behavior of your staff member.
For clarity, Uber does not require drivers to hand over their personal devices or allow staff to forcefully step into their personal space. Verification can be done by reading out the order number, displaying it at a comfortable distance, or cross-checking with Uber’s system—which I repeatedly suggested as a simple solution. However, your staff member initially refused to check with Uber and instead insisted on seeing my phone in an unprofessional and forceful manner.
What makes this situation even more concerning is that I have picked up orders from this location before and never faced such behavior. If checking my device was truly necessary, then the other staff member who was present would have asked for it as well—but he did not. In fact, when I showed my device to him, he confirmed that I was good to go. Despite this, the staff member in question continued insisting and escalated the situation unnecessarily.
At first, she handed me the order and asked me to confirm it, which I did. As I was about to leave, she suddenly demanded to see my phone. I politely declined, explaining that it was my private device. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she raised her voice in front of staff and customers, aggressively insisted, and even stepped into my personal space.
Only after I repeatedly suggested verifying with Uber—and after she realized customers were watching—did she finally decide to check. This proves that the situation was not about protocol but about unnecessary confrontation.
I strongly urge you to review your CCTV footage to see how this unfolded. No driver should be disrespected, made to feel unsafe, or unfairly targeted while simply doing their job. Security procedures should be followed professionally, not used as an excuse for inappropriate behavior. I hope this matter is taken seriously to ensure that no other driver has to experience...
Read moreRecently my sister and I and our kids (5 in total) went to Sotiris for lunch to celebrate a special occasion (Eid) Immediately when we got there we were greeted with attitude from the owner. She wanted to sit us right next to the kitchen the entire restaurant was empty. We told her we don't want to sit there. It was loud by the kitchen, mix that with 5 kids it will be extremely loud. She told us this is where you need to sit we asked for another table she said to us..." if you sit somewhere else you won't be getting good service". We asked to sit at a booth by the windows to the left., on the right of that booth there were people sitting there, I asked the manager why are they sitting there if you want everyone up by the kitchen, she said they must have sat themselves. We sat down our waitress came she was so sweet she was wonderful. We made our order, my girls and I order the Greek platter, we had asked 3 times to make sure there is no pork to remove the pork souvlaki (due to religious restrictions). It was a very holy day in our religion. The waitress assured us that was doable. Upon getting our meals we started to eat and my sister notice that her chicken souvlaki looked different then the one on our platter, (we assumed they took off the pork souvlaki and replaced it with chicken) immediately we stopped and gasped upon realizing that it was pork. I called over the waitress she apologized and explained that the owner and her daughter made our meals they must have missed the "no pork" she left and returned with a new our plate with extra gyro meat and no pork. The children fasted for 30 days abd they chose to go to Sotiris for this special day, for it to be ruined by a simple instructionwas disappointingespeciallybecausethe girl each took a bite out of the pork souvlaki. We felt really unsettled the remainder of the meal because we were all just think about what the manager had said about the quality of service we would receive if we didn't sit where she wanted us to. The waitress came back with complimentary dessert. We asked that if we can get our food to go, we got the bill. We paid gave a tip to our server. But overall we are very disappointed and probably won't go back. I have gone there every year for 14 years for my birth, even when they were at their old location. The owner was really rude overall and ruined our Eid...
Read moreUnfortunately, my take out experience at this highly rated restaurant was lousy. Here's what happened: Walked in. Lady at the reception was curt. Was busy punching in orders on her system. After a couple of minutes, spoke to me and went and checked in the kitchen if order was ready. Came out said order is being prepped, no idea when order will be ready (I did not ask her how long it would take fyi). I waited outside.
Few minutes later, I walked in, went to the washroom, did what I had to, and came out and saw a parcel at the reception. The lady at the reception wasn't there. I quickly checked if the order was mine by taking a peek at the name of the order on the parcel. A woman next to me told me it was her order very politely with a smile on her face. I apologized. The lady at the counter came back, took the customer's payment for the order, and went back in to get my order. Here's where the funny business started - she handed me my order and with a straight face told me that I shouldn't have touched the other order as it was 'intrusive'. When I asked her intrusive how, she said, "I told you I'll get you your order, but you still did that."
My response was simple - When the customer didn't have a problem, why do you have a problem? I was just checking if it was my order, that's it. She kept repeating the same thing. I told her I will have to sadly give ya a negative review on Google. She still kept her tirade going although she did seem to tone down a bit when I mentioned the negative review on Google.
I get that people get tired doing their jobs on a busy evening and that's fine. We are all human. The only thing I would avoid is talking like this to the customer. It's almost like you're trying teach the customer a 'lesson' on etiquettes which isn't your job. Serve and be polite. (I am going to give the lady the benefit of doubt that she didn't do it based on the colour of my skin in a predominantly whi*e...
