Visiting Familia Fine Foods truly felt like coming home. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted not just with the rich aroma of authentic Latin-American cuisine, but also with the kind of genuine hospitality that’s hard to find these days. The entire atmosphere radiates warmth, family, and pride in culture.
One of the highlights of my visit was the outstanding customer service. The youngs women at the front especially the kind young lady who were help with stuff and the others today were not only attentive and professional but also made me feel seen and welcome, like a guest in their own home, no like other business. Their smiles and care added to the whole experience, and they were more than happy to help me choose from the menu and even explain ingredients with a personal touch.
The food? Absolutely incredible. Every bite brought me right back to Colombia, from the perfectly seasoned empanadas to the rich, homemade soups and flavorful rice dishes. You can tell the meals are made with love and tradition, just like abuela used to make. It’s rare to find food that feels this authentic without traveling thousands of kilometers.
Whether you're stopping by for lunch, picking up frozen meals for the week, or browsing their Latin grocery section, Familia Fine Foods is more than just a store or restaurant, it's a cultural experience. I left with a full heart, a full stomach, and the urge to come back soon, (El acento Cafetero, Wow es como sentir a mis primas paisas hablar Omg 🇨🇴ame).
Highly recommended for anyone craving warmth, flavor, and a genuine sense...
Read moreOrdered 3 pork tacos. Now i didn't hate the food but I also didnt love it. Yes everything looked fresh. The feeling of the restaurant was very airy and their fresh concept was understood. However everything was served cold. The tortilla shells cold, meat cold, ingredients were cold which is understandable because they have to be kept fresh but the shells and the meat had no business being cold. I ate my food in the restaurant so its not like it travelled very far. Because the taco shells were cold it became very soggy by time I picked up the first taco. They are very stingy with the sauce on your taco. Literally a line. The sauce was put last on top of all the ingredients to it never touched the shells but still shells were soggy. The 3 tortilla chips given with the meal is pointless... Literally 3. And i asked for some salsa for the 3 chips and you can see in the photo how much salsa she gave me. I liked the chips alone though. The restaurant has potential just maybe serve warm food and portion it out better. Have combos... Everything here is purchased seperatly. The servers seemed alright the woman who handled the transaction (I think is the owner) had a bit of an attitude when i asked the the server if it comes in a combo and server asked that woman she looked at me with a unfriendly face asking me what do you mean combo.... Honestly it was just a question it was my first time there. But point is i...
Read morefirst off let me start by saying I’ve been a customer here for a while. My wife puts orders in, we had a $1000 catering order last September and another $600 one before that. We come in for meals as well. My wife goes in every few weeks and purchases some toppings from their salad bar along with a couple sauces from the fridge. She’s never had a problem doing this. Said it’s the male owner who helps her. Today I went in to do the same and was denied the same option. The guy was rushing around telling me he doesn’t sell just the toppings cause he doesn’t have a price for it in the system (again, my wife has done this on numerous occasions no problem) the guy was pretty rude. I asked “well can you just throw some of that cheese and pico de gallo in a tub and make up a price?” He says “what sell you mozzarella?!” And then walks off. So I still spent $30 on items from their fridge since I was there, but left without everything I came for. Had to drive to Oakville to Por Vidas market thing and they were more than happy to help with this. For a place called “familia” they really make you feel uncomfortable and unwanted, unless you have a pretty female face I guess. I’ve recommended this place to multiple people, but that’s the last time I’ll be shopping here. Not a single person was sitting here eating around dinner time, this should tell...
