WOW, I have never experienced so much contempt and attitude from a customer service rep. I did a mobile 'carry out' order before walking into the building because I don't like lines and I want to make sure certain things are not on my burger. Upon arrival the accordion window is pulled across the front, there's a delivery guy waiting at the tiny gap for an order, and about 4-5 people standing in front of the counter confused and waiting to order or for some sort of contact from the Wendy's staff, which are rushing around and actively avoiding eye contact/ignoring the few customers that actually bothered to get out of their vehicles and walk into the building. Driver gets handed his order and then the employee just closes the window the rest of the way pretending there isn't a line of people directly in front of them. After another minute one of the confused customers walks up and knocks on the window to inquire as to what is going on. What seems to be the manager comes over dripping with attitude and very rudely tells him that they're too busy and only servicing the drive thru, and ignores the gentleman's questions of whether there is some sort of signage that he missed. They disperse to other vendors while I continue to wait for my mobile carry out order. I see what I suspected was my burger get packed into a bag and walked over to the drive through window. I wait for a few more minutes before the employee cracks open the window and asks if I'm the mobile order, also dripping with attitude, when I say yes she practically slams the bag down on the counter while rolling her eyes, and slams the accordion window closed. I have never been handed a burger with such contempt. I get that fast food workers have a thankless job and are not well paid, and from their hiring signs I'm guessing they're short staffed (I can't imagine why somebody wouldn't want to work at this location LOL) but there is 0 reason to be so incredibly rude to customers who waited politely and legitimately had no idea what was going on. How hard is it to take 10 seconds to open the window and say 'sorry we're short staffed and we're only able to serve the drive thru lunch rush right now' with even a modicum of friendliness, or to tape a sign to the accordion window saying as much so people aren't waiting confused as to why the clearly open/staffed fast food restaurant isn't taking their lunch orders. I am a huge fan of the square hamburgers, I will definitely be getting them from a different location...
Read moreThis is the worst Wendy's location. For YEARS we have gone to this location and 99% of the time they get the order wrong. Either through the drive through or dine in. I kid you not!! Even knowing this, we make the conscious decision to go back with the hope that it has changed owners, processes or something else has changed in order to correct this. The amount of food that must be wasted is UNTHINKABLE. I challenge the owner of this franchise to monitor just how much waste is produced by these incorrect orders. When we go through the drive through, we make sure the order is correct and have them open our sandwiches and prove to us that they are correct before we drive away. I pity the people who order through skip the dishes 'cuz they got our order today and we got their crispy chicken sandwiches. At least we could go back to the counter to have them correct it. Not sure what skip the dishes can do for those other people.
Now to the people behind the counter. The woman who seemed to be filling the orders for skip the dishes could not retain the items on the order and was CONSTANTLY having to review the orders she was preparing. She was very confused. That does not bode well for those who are putting their trust in the order they are having delivered to them. The poor young man who was preparing the sandwiches was being berated by the person who was managing the drive through window. The volume of the conversations was not comfortable to listen to and was very distracting. I feel very bad for the young man and would not blame him if he walked out then and there.
We have provided more than enough opportunities for this franchise to make changes in order to improve, over more than 10 years!!! We made the decision today that we will be going out of our way to avoid this franchise. I pity the person who owns this one. The cost of food waste and employee turnover must...

I remember you and i understand And i appoligize for the inconvenience it caused you that day that you requested a refund . i am so sorry about that day last week when you wanted a refund on your chicken wrap. I know the lines were long too as well. I am not a anti masker. I am not against masks at all. I have a medical condition sir. The Only reason I dont wear a mask is because I am medically exempted by the public heath act :: Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 or the Human Rights Code. . And the public heath organization does have my note on file on thier data base as well since 2020. Everyone eles who works here all the other employee at mainway Wendy's do Wear a masks , face covers or shields. I am the only one who doesn't wear a mask and I appoligize sir again on behalf of myself for making you feel unsafe. Hopefully we get your service back , we can always acommadate your needs with covid 19 protocalls . if youd like me to not do any transactions with you and have someone eles do them, we can totally do that. We want you to feel happy and safe bottom line.
