I LOVE Bella Pizza and I do recommend you try it at least once in your lifetime as you might be pleasantly surprised in a good way. If you have time read on: I have been a customer of the Bella Pizza franchise since 1991! If memory serves me well, back then there were about 11 franchises around the Lower Mainland. I frequented the Richmond and Vancouver locations often and had even had a family friend that worked as a "Pizzaiolo" there as well. I thought the franchises had all been closed but was happy to recently find this Burnaby location still in existence. Needless to say their pizza stays true and authentic to the original pizza I used to have such a long time ago. This is NOT your classic neopolitan minimalist style of pizza nor is it your typical fast food North American type of restraunt pizza of which I appreciate both. At Bella Pizza they use high quality ingredients and their pizza dough and generous toppings are plenty, fresh and flavorful. The taste of their pizzas is unique and recognizable. Certainly distinguishable from the other many pizza offerings found elsewhere. You will know that you are eating a Bella Pizza if you were blind tested. Their customer service is also outstanding. The shop owners and chef (a very happy and kind husband / wife (the chef) team) are very friendly, warm and welcoming. I was greeted with sincere smiles and the energy and passion they have for their business and product was infectious. The husband in particular is his wife's greatest supporter and he was quick to praise her for the hard work she puts in every day to their business and her many accomplishments she's achieved over the years. I wish that every person had a champion on their side like this. It would make the world a much better place. So, whether you live nearby in the neighborhood OR live further away in a different city like myself, if you love pizza and appreciate its variety, please give Bella Pizza a try, you might be pleasantly surprised by their unique offerings and take on pizza. I do recommend for you to try their pizza at least once: if you are adventurous perhaps try the "Master Piece" or the slightly spicier "Capricciosa", two of my favorites. They also have a vast selection and more "basic" options available. I also encourage you to simply support their family business. It's always a good thing to give our support to local home grown businesses that originated in BC. I for one will certainly be coming back and they've now got a loyal customer for years to come. Enjoy and mangia...
Read moreEver since I can remember, our family’s go-to pizza place was Bella Pizza. …..until now. The pizza is still adequate but the wow factor and the passion, heart and soul are seemingly gone.
Here is an example of our past experiences with the amazingly high quality of Bella Pizza that seems to now live only in our memories. Our mouths watered with anticipation whenever we decided to order pizza from Bella. When you open up the pizza box, the center dough piece that would protect the top of the pizza from the box would be like a perfectly round golden nugget of goodness welcoming us to the experience. Now, the dough piece is flat and dense.
The cheese was overflowing and gooey. Like honey from the honeycomb. When you pulled out a slice, the cheese would stretch exquisitely like finely crafted violin strings. Now, it stops halfway and shrinks back like a tired old man.
The dough was crispy yet soft, moist and fluffy on the inside. Even the aforementioned center dough piece was so delicious. You can obviously taste that it was freshly made and baked with love. Now, it’s dry and flat like a bread/cracker ration you would get in a Meal-Ready-to-Eat package. And the crust is even more rigid and stiff than the box it came in.
When I tasted the difference in quality and not experiencing the expected standard of Bella Pizza that I’ve had since I was younger, a part of me died on the inside. Another piece of my childhood had been ripped away.
What happened to you O Bella? Return to me, and I shall return to you. And I shall once again show you favour.
Please, please, PLEASE Bella Pizza. Return back to your former glory!!!

Read moreUPDATE I am reviewing this as the manager, Bhavin reached out to me - the same day - and apologized for all of the issues and promised to make things right.. well, he did not disappointes!
Here I am enjoying my amazing pizza and it taste just as it should. Not only they went above and beyond, they delivered to my house - even though I am out of their deliveries area.
I am happy that we got this resolved because Bella Pizza is simply the best and worth the detour!!!!
I’ve been loyal for 20 years and since management got changed, quality has been going down but I kept going because it’s a family business… well today is the last time ever I’ll order there.
I ordered via Ubereats as I am too far for delivery - all good.
My order stated - please substitute the salami for pepperoni. And the opposite was done. I called and the lady not only said she was confused, tried calling me (I have zero missed calls today) then said it’s Ubers fault and then said that my English wasn’t good.. I am 100% fluent in English, she’s not!
She told me to go to the store now and she will give me another pizza which would great but it’s rush hour now which means 1 hour just to get there.. I said can you simply put a note in my file and give me a credit on my next door instead? She refused, said my fault for ordering from a 3rd party and hung up on me.
Here’s $37 going in the garbage as I am allergic to some spice in the salami.
Way to go Bella Pizza.. not only you lost a very loyal customers but I’ll make sure that anyone I ever sent your way is aware of how one of your staff member treats your customers.
Disappointing to...
