This is a great little sushi place in the Metropolis at Metrotown Mall Food Court. My daughter wanted sushi and I was wary about this other sushi place. I have ordered from another Togo Sushi location before and thought why not try this location in the mall. Super convenient as it's in the food court and you can order online for pick up. Online ordering was easy and intuitive. You can find a seat and order online...especially handy when you have young kids! Website could have a picture of each roll so kids can see what the food will look like 😂 The prices are reasonable. I ordered California Roll, Chopped Scallop Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll. I decided to pay in person, but you can pay online. Pickup said 15 minutes, waited a few minutes as there was a lineup, but order was ready when I got there. All the rolls are a little smaller than other sushi places. The California Roll was okay per my child. The Chopped Scallop Roll actually had chopped scallops and they were so tasty and yummy. The Spicy Tuna Roll was spicy, but not too spicy and I can actually taste the tuna. I was pleasantly surprised about the taste and quality of the rolls. I will definitely order from them again. They even have poke bowls and bento boxes around the $14/$15 range, I might give that a try...

This is my fav sushi place, but today when i ordered rainbow as i always order whenever i go there, it didn’t turn out well. I told the cashier, where it’s my first time seeing her since i often go there, i literally said all salmon cuz it comes with tuna and shrimp. I said i’m allergic to shrimp so i can’t have it so i said all sashimi instead. But they gave me salmon and 3 tuna. I told her that i ordered all sashimi, she said only the shrimp was taken out. I said if you could please change it just the topping of the tuna it’s okay with me but they didn’t bother to change it at all. It’s just sad because i always go there ordering the same thing whenever i go there. And for the cashier, i clearly told what i wanted to order, but she’s just ignorant. In my own understanding, if a customer is not satisfied of the order, action should be taken. But on this day of january 26 12:20pm, none was taken. But this will still be my fav sushi place, and it’s just sad cuz it’s my first getting my order wrong at this place and no...

I really wanted to get sushi and liked the convenience of this quaint little place in the mall. Although I paid 16$ for this combo, which is already an exuberant price for a glorified cafeteria, the sushi I got was...well...trash.

The salmon they used in the roll looks and tastes like canned salmon mixed with mayonnaise. That is literally the smallest amount of effort anyone can go through for sushi. I mean that fish could quite literally be years old; just the fresh quality we all look for in our food. The tempura tastes precooked and microwaved for the roll. There is the tiniest sliver of any vegetable in any roll. The rice is actually decent, but if you look at the pic it’s literally ALL rice. Rice overlaps rice twice over. The nigiri? You guessed it! All rice. Eating a piece of nigiri at ToGo is akin to opening up the metal container of tea biscuits at grandma’s to find sewing equipment.

My suggestion? Take your 15 dollars and eat that instead. It’s still probably newer and will bring more joy to...

Quality fell off since covid, aside from the chicken teriyaki(sauce.) The chicken is carried by the sweet-salty sauce, and the beef teriyaki is the same. However, for beef it's pretty tender. Checkout their generous "wasabi" portion!! Now the sushi actually isn't bad, and tastes pretty fresh usually. I'd recommend the volcano roll. Their prices have increased by almost 50% for special rolls since 2021, the volcano roll was 6.75 and now it costs 9.75. The cashiers are ok, not the most friendly but not rude either..? It depends on their mood They get your food out fast, which is good. Make sure to listen carefully because the servers won't yell your order number.
