CoCo Bubble Tea (Station Square) — Restaurant in Burnaby

I drive 45 mins to get CoCo and I always go to this location. When I came today at 8:30pm, I ordered my regular drink: 3 guys with brown sugar pearls. The girl said “we can’t do that” in a rude tone. She did not tell me WHY they couldn’t make the drink for me. I was very confused as they have never told me I wasn’t allowed to order that. The girl did not suggest another way to order, or even try to tell me she would have to type it in another way because there is a price difference. Instead, she just told me they can’t (with no context) and made me feel like I was just trying to make my drink cheaper which wasn’t the case at all. It was never my intention to try to get a “cheaper drink” and is extremely rude to assume that. I drive far just to get bubble tea, I don’t mind the extra charge. I genuinely just thought it was the easiest way to order the drink.

Later on, I called back to say thank you, as she still made my drink. I did express that she was not very nice to me and that next time she should let me know she can type it in another way, instead of just saying I can’t get it. She proceeded to say it was just common knowledge that there is a price difference. Well, it was not common knowledge to me because no one ever told me it is supposed to be ordered in another way. Coco is always on point! Love this place, my favorite Bubble Tea joint on the West Coast and now the fifth different branch j have visited. Coco seems to be dominating the west coast and I'm so stoked/there is no wonder why. Consistency is key and where most Bubble Tea joints fail. However Coco, even as a franchise maintains that consistency no matter of drink, menu, location or if it's a soft open such as this joint. Great service, efficiency of drinks and location where you can go and enjoy slurping your BBT in one of the nearby parks. I wish Coco would expand their mobile app to BC and the West Coast, rather than just Ontario and offer us loyal west-coast customers reward schemes and loyalty points. Initially I gave this place a 5 out of 5 star due to their exceptional service and consistency, until my recent incident on December 1 at 9:35pm where the amount of coconut jelly on the passion fruit green tea is noticeably below average.

We come here on average 2 or more times a week so we would know their portion. Every time for the past year it has been consistent.

There’s no way a regular price drink would have less coconut jelly than their November promotion Mango Green Tea with Coconut Jelly. The staff refused to add half a scoop for me, stating the amount is correct.

I hope the owner will read this and make this right. Otherwise I’ll bring my weekly visits to another Coco establishment.

Once the owner rectifies this, I’ll gladly change it back to the original 5 out...
