Me and my friends went yesterday and their service was quite disappointing as someone who’s also in the service industry. I know that you should probably place or ask what beverage someone would like right when you seated someone we didn’t even have that happen for at least 20 minutes on top of all of that the server who was serving us was quite rude. In my opinion I was trying to explain how I would like my mac & cheese I explained "it as if you were giving it to a child where you don’t bake it" and she said "so you want it cold" and I was like"no I want it warm please" so she said"so in the microwave" and that kind of confused me because I was like no like "i don't really understand what do you mean" so she just kept saying to me "so you want it cold" and I’m like"you know what just do it how it should be done" because at that point I was done trying to explain the same thing and getting the same response and in general when she was speaking to us she was speaking as if she was talking down to us which just because we are younger that does not give her or anybody the right to talk down to us as a customer because a customer is a customer. It shouldn’t dictate on age. If we were acting disrespectful that would be one thing, but we weren’t. We were being respectful, minding our own business and not causing a scene at all. she came to see how we were doing once and didn’t even really ask how our food was and didn’t really acknowledge us as customers. I noticed her going to everybody else around us but completely ignoring us like. And when we were about to ask for the bill she almost acted like we weren’t there and overall just treating us like we weren’t customers and quite frankly it’s disappointing to see a good establishment. Have a rotten apple ruined a whole experience. I’ve never been treated this way out of Denny’s and quite frankly I hope nobody else has you. Please work on treating customers like customers, no matter what...
Read moreWe went to Denny's for their BOGO Eggs Benedict offer. My husband and I both ordered Eggs Benedict dishes while our daughter had some kind of sandwich with melted cheese in it. I can't remember exactly which one she had and can't even figure it out by looking at the website as her sandwich looked nothing like any of the pictures on the website.
Our Eggs Benedict dishes were both tasty; however, the eggs on both of our plates were overcooked. We're major foodies so we'd been hoping to film a nice, soft yolk oozing out of the egg. Imagine our disappointment when we cut our eggs open only to discover that the egg yolks were dry inside. I did hear from someone else who had the same BOGO offer at the same location of Denny's that their yolk was runny. So, it seems it's possible to come here and get a good Eggs Benedict, but...they are not consistent.
Would I come back? Yes. This is the first time we've come here and had food that was subpar. All the other times we've been here, the food was good or decent. I'd give them a lower rating if I were judging based on this one experience alone. However, I'm choosing to factor in previous visits I've made to this restaurant over the years, which bumps the rating up a bit. I probably won't take my chances on ordering any more Eggs Benedicts here though.
On a completely different note, there was a claw machine in the restaurant! We didn't try it out but it sure was exciting to see. I wonder how long they've had it. It certainly wasn't there the last time we came, which was...so many years I can't even remember. It sure does make Denny's feel like a funner place to come to!

Read moreToday's my birthday, feeling a tad wiser with another candle on the cake (just kidding)! As you grow up, the birthday gift count tends to dwindle, so I thought to explore Vancouver for free birthday offers. Found heaps of articles on this topic!
First stop of the day, 5 AM, was Denny’s. Honestly, never even thought about this diner, barely knew its name. But with the chance of snagging a free birthday breakfast, I decided to kick off my day here.
The place itself radiated warmth, hitting the nail on the head for diner vibes. And kudos to the chef, the food was scrumptious! Those pancakes? Fluffiest I've had in ages. Got top-notch service from our server and the lone staff there at that ungodly hour.
Overall, got nothing negative to spill about this joint. Would definitely urge folks to give it a shot if they're craving a good ol' American breakfast.
But the real MVP here is Denny’s for actually delivering on the free birthday gift. Did a bit of snooping for places offering special birthday treats today, and you guys were the only ones with the goods, no strings attached. No sign-ups, app downloads, or any of that jazz. From a marketing perspective (yep, I'm in that game), gotta give you props. There's no better way to turn customers into loyal fans than by making them feel welcome without any pressure to engage with your brand. You've earned some serious loyalty just by sticking to your word on that free...
