Giving it one star because; Often while standing in the drive-through, I have seen rats going in and out or close to the back door. I do not know if they have access to inside, but there were at least 3 at one time and 1 and 2 at other times around 11.00 PM. I reported it to the person on the window but they joked about it. This makes me think that either they do not bother about cleanliness indoors or when they throw stuff out, they do not make sure that they do it in a manner that these little animals are not attracted. Staff are all nice and friendly, but while in the drive-through they have often forgotten to give a straw along with the drink and I have had to park the car and go back in again to ask for a straw, which totally makes me think of why did I use the drivethrough in the first place. And, while eating-in, often I have observed that the drinks area is not clean. The ketchup would be all around the nozzles and when you press the handle, your hand gets dirty. The baby highchair is also NEVER clean. When you request for the family toilet to be unlocked, the CSA or the Manager would come and start cleaning it right at THAT time. Thanks to them for at least doing that, but sometimes your baby needs the changing area ASAP and one cannot wait for all the time it takes for that cleaning, as it is clear once you stand and see them doing the chore that it was probably left like that since the last time some careless customer used it abusively. I avoid going to...
Read moreI got a wrong sandwich from them one week.
Came back today and mistakenly gave a wrong name (I thought it was James) of a manager who took my phone complaint (in my defence, who would remember a name from a week ago), explaining to the working manager that one of their managers wrote my name down for a complimentary breakfast sandwich.
The working manager this morning said "I definitely know we don't have a manager with the name James, and your name is not on my books for a complimentary sandwich"
So I basically felt like I was told I was a liar, when I go to this location quite often. It was clear she wasn't willing to give the sandwich to me and I had to say "I am not lying to you, I come here often through the drive thru."
She gave the sandwich eventually in the end but I did not feel any good about it.
Moving forward:
Please be more diligent when writing down the customers orders that were made wrong (that white binder I saw the working manager take out). It wasn't the working managers' fault, it was the manager who didn't write my name down on the binder (apparently it was David and not James), making it seem like I was completely lying to the working manager today.
I am aware that both sides were at fault (me for not remembering the managers name, and for the McDonald's for not even writing my name down in their white binder with all order mistakes), but my experience was just...
Read moreHorrible service and slacking employee … waited at the drive thru speaker phone for 5 min after everyone in front of me are all gone. Helloed eight times and honked twice to ask for order to be taken but still no one there answering speaker phone. Later I was told the first speaker isn’t in service but the order taker was supposed to tell me to pull up to the second speaker but she never did during that 5 min. When confronted, both employees were like other knows the first speaker doesn’t work, why don’t you? Well maybe many regular visitors to this location are used to your slacking and missing instruction/sign, but it doesn’t eliminate your responsibility to provide adequate instruction to every customer.
She could see me and hear me the whole time if she was attentive to her role. And they could’ve posted a sign telling customer that first speaker doesn’t work please go to the next one. Or they could make the first one the default speaker because that’s the one customer will see first. And when mistakes take place, fix it rather than blaming it onto the customer. Manager of this place should look into your operation and...
