I had the absolute pleasure of dining at one of the best Nigerian restaurants I’ve visited in a long time, and I must say—what a delightful experience from start to finish! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with just the right touch of Nigerian flair that made me feel right at home. The aroma of authentic spices in the air already gave us a hint that we were in for something special. Now let’s talk about the food—absolutely phenomenal! Every dish we ordered was rich in flavor, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. From the jollof rice and plantain to the egusi soup and pounded yam, it was a delicious celebration of Nigerian cuisine in every bite. You could taste the love and tradition in the cooking, and the portions were generous too. A special shoutout to Camron, who served us with such professionalism and warmth. He was attentive, kind, and very knowledgeable about the menu. He made us feel genuinely cared for and was patient in answering all our questions—even giving us great recommendations that we ended up loving! It’s rare to come across someone so passionate and personable in service, and Camron truly elevated our experience. Overall, this was more than just a meal—it was a celebration of culture, taste, and hospitality. I’ll definitely be returning soon and recommending this gem to friends and family. If you’re craving real Nigerian food served with heart, this is the place to be!

During my recent trip to Calgary, I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant, and it was a delightful surprise to find a place that served food I’m familiar with. As it was my first time in the city, the warm welcome from the younger staff immediately made me feel at home. The menu was well-curated, featuring all my favorite dishes from home. I ordered the jollof rice with beef, though the chicken was initially brought out by mistake. However, this was quickly and courteously corrected. The food itself was delicious – the rice was flavorful, and the beef was tender. The portion was a bit on the lighter side however, the taste more than made up for it. The décor was beautiful and nostalgic, reminiscent of a quintessential Nigerian home in 1970s with flowery wall paper. The only thing missing was some highlife music playing in the background! Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d love to return with my family on my next visit. Highly recommended!.

Lovely cosy restaurant serving Nigerian food. The staff were comfortable and attentive and the service was great. The food, now the food was delicious and I forewarn you the portion sizes are dangerous. I truly think I could have shared my main course with my wife and we could both have still struggled. So don’t make our mistake of ordering too much! The battered yam is my recommendation and was amazing. It was absolutely delicious and hearty with a wonder balance of flavours and when paired with their berry cocktail was truly a delight. We had a chat with the main cook and she was informative and friendly and it was nice as always to put a face to the food that we enjoyed. A staple of each of our return visits to Calgary and if we ever move here. A staple of our eating out. Highly recommend anyone in the area local or from abroad to drop by and try the food out.

I had the absolute worst experience at this restaurant. I often don’t write reviews but I had to. My friend and I walked in for the buffet and for the first 20mins no one came out to sit us or tell us anything. I wanted to leave but my friend suggested we stayed. We sat down and decided to serve ourselves. The buffet was even cold and I had to ask for it to be microwaved!! AT A RESTAURANT!! We were there for about 1h40mins and we got checked up on once by the owner. She only checked to ask if we needed anything. My friend and I ate and went to pay. Upon getting there the owner tells us that we wasted food and they charge $15 for food wastage. I was surprised Cos I wasn’t told this infact we weren’t told anything. My friend said the reason she didn’t eat the one meal was Cos she didn’t really like it. The owner took offence immediately and instead said that if we didn’t want pay, we should go back and eat the leftover which they had already packed up. Which is very disrespectful. The owner refused to anything we said and kept saying she would charge us $10 and that’s what every restaurant does. At this point you’ll expect the owner to say okay next time this is the rule no problem but she didn’t. Simple customer service. We ended up paying the $10 extra. Literally 0/10 customer service and for the food was 5/10 and not worth $35. Cleanliness and hygiene also 5/10. Def won’t be coming back here!! It’s a shame African restaurants aren’t learning better about customer service and just want to charge you to keep their place running. They are just all...

I tried to surprise my dear husband today at this restaurant, but to my dismay it wasn't close to the Nigerian tasty food I know. To begin with, the place is extremely filthy & dirty! Lots of dried up sticky visible spills on the floor, dusty chairs & tables, toilet door wide open to the dinning area. Now coming to the food we ordered Ewedu/Amala & Egusi/poundo yam & it was absolutely disgusting! The fish had zero taste & the "meat" is actually nothing other than fats. As if that's not enough disappointment, the meats are charged seperate per piece & the lady there had had very terrible customer service! When we told her there was only fat & fish in that food, she said " oh really? That's the only meat we got so it's what we serve... why didn't you guys say something so I can replace the meat or I can pack for you guys another food to take home?" We left the food, paid $58.78 CAD & left the place for another African restaurant & that did not disappoint. After we left, we thought, she said she would have replaced the meat, with what? Since she already said " that's the only meat they got & is what they serve". Avoid the restaurant if you can, but if you go there it's at your own risk. I wish there was an option of...
