SKIP THE DISHES ORDER: i ordered a combo for 2 large pizzas with wings. My boyfriend is sensitive to sauces and cannot have pizza sauce, which i added in the special notes. When my meal came the person who completed my order had circled my special note, acknowledging that they read it, and wrote in messy writing: "all pizzas come with sauce." I understand if it is premade or something it being an issue, but if that is the case they should have contacted us about the situation, not just sent it anyway. We had to go out and buy an entirely different meal for my boyfriend because of this. The other pizza and wings were.. okay, but i would not say good. I had a couple slices of my pizza and half the wings, and we and ended up throwing out the rest. If they had contacted me i would have been more than happy to change my order to something else so he could eat, but instead i was charged over $50 for the meal that only one of us could eat, that wasn't even that good in the first place. To say i am upset would be an understatement. Never going to or ordering from here again. Complete waste of 50+ dollars.

Update: wet wings are the only way to go here. Even getting extra seasoning there was just not enough dill pickle. Can't imagine the seasoning costs a ton to be so cheap with it. Pizza is always on point. Best $16.00 a person can spend is Saturday night for a small pizza and a dozen wings (I get honey hot with extra sauce lol). Staff is honestly what makes this place great. They are beyond friendly. This place can be touch and go. Frequent often and normally there is no concern. Wing night sucks however. I've had the dill pickle wings and there is never enough seasoning. They are just plan wings and two or three of them have a pinch of flavor. Might have to bring my own lol. Staff is always pleasant.

Awhile back a friend said this was the best place in Calgary for pizza. I have my favorite spot but my wife and I decided to check it out. Long story short, we now have a new favorite pizza place!!! The pizza was amazing! The wings were super delicious! Apparently same owners from 40 years ago, with the same recipe for dough and sauce. I highly recommend this place if you're a pizza lover. I should also mention the service was also excellent. It's rare to get such good service at the table. Thanks Bonasera! We will be back! (Many times)

Going to Bonsera Pizza over the course of the last few years, I have to say the ambience was good and service generally acceptable. All of the staff, even if they lack experience, always have great personalities and good attitude. Most service is exceptional and friendly. The owners are absolutely horrid and rude however and just completely combative to criticism or issues. This place isn't worth the money to dine in at and leaves a nasty taste in the mouth both figurately, and literally. The food is mediocre with poor cuts of steak and very standard, low quality pub fare.

The best part of their cuisine is the fries, exceptionally crispy and of high quality. Their signature pizza is a basic pub-quality pizza with sweet dough and cheap toppings, and even cheaper cheese. Cheaper yet is the service from the owners themselves. Extremely arrogant and combative, they refuse to even acknowledge their own responsibility in allergic reactions to their kitchens food. The servers are not at fault for the owners lack of diligence and they will argue with you despite extreme physical markers of allergic reactions. Expect to call 911 if you wish to prove you truly are allergic to anything, or they won't take you seriously.

Top level management is an absolute joke and does not care about your experience as a customer, only the statistics at the end of the day, which is unsurprising yet disappointing, if your allergy causes you difficulty dining out and requires special care, simply go somewhere else as this place does not wish to deal with "difficult" customers. Worse yet if you argue in defense of your allergy, or whoever you are accompanied by, you will be banned and not allowed to come back. This does not speak for the staff, only the owners.

A less professional aspect of the review as I do not know the persons name, is one manager who is of exceptional quality and very supportive of everyone. He is a slightly greying, medium height man who had guaranteed myself and my company had exceptional service and absolutely no issues with allergic risks. Whoever he is, he recognized my table multiple times and was incredible and very integral to the good experiences I have had at Bonasera, yet the ownerships faults are more than enough to ruin...

The Bonasera Restaurant offers a varied menu with lots to choose from. Pizza is excellent at Bonasera"s.and my family says it's their specialty here. Over 20 different pizza combinations to choose from. Pasta dishes are second to none. The baked pastas are spot on and topped with lots of mozzarella and comes to your table piping hot and sizzling with salad and garlic toast. They offer appetizers to steaks to desserts to cold beverages and everything in between. Serving staff is absolutely super and the kitchen staff are amazing. You do not wait long for your food to get to your table piping hot. The Bonasera restaurant has been in the same strip mall for decades and is operated by the original owners. One of the most popular restaurants in the area. Daily food and drink specials are offered all week. A restaurant as popular as Bonasera"s can get very noisy. We love it here. There is handicapped parking right at the door and NO curbs or stairs at the entrance to the restaurant. Tables are also available. ENJOY!! Lots of free...
