Going to Bonsera Pizza over the course of the last few years, I have to say the ambience was good and service generally acceptable. All of the staff, even if they lack experience, always have great personalities and good attitude. Most service is exceptional and friendly. The owners are absolutely horrid and rude however and just completely combative to criticism or issues. This place isn't worth the money to dine in at and leaves a nasty taste in the mouth both figurately, and literally. The food is mediocre with poor cuts of steak and very standard, low quality pub fare.
The best part of their cuisine is the fries, exceptionally crispy and of high quality. Their signature pizza is a basic pub-quality pizza with sweet dough and cheap toppings, and even cheaper cheese. Cheaper yet is the service from the owners themselves. Extremely arrogant and combative, they refuse to even acknowledge their own responsibility in allergic reactions to their kitchens food. The servers are not at fault for the owners lack of diligence and they will argue with you despite extreme physical markers of allergic reactions. Expect to call 911 if you wish to prove you truly are allergic to anything, or they won't take you seriously.
Top level management is an absolute joke and does not care about your experience as a customer, only the statistics at the end of the day, which is unsurprising yet disappointing, if your allergy causes you difficulty dining out and requires special care, simply go somewhere else as this place does not wish to deal with "difficult" customers. Worse yet if you argue in defense of your allergy, or whoever you are accompanied by, you will be banned and not allowed to come back. This does not speak for the staff, only the owners.
A less professional aspect of the review as I do not know the persons name, is one manager who is of exceptional quality and very supportive of everyone. He is a slightly greying, medium height man who had guaranteed myself and my company had exceptional service and absolutely no issues with allergic risks. Whoever he is, he recognized my table multiple times and was incredible and very integral to the good experiences I have had at Bonasera, yet the ownerships faults are more than enough to ruin...
Read moreSKIP THE DISHES ORDER: i ordered a combo for 2 large pizzas with wings. My boyfriend is sensitive to sauces and cannot have pizza sauce, which i added in the special notes. When my meal came the person who completed my order had circled my special note, acknowledging that they read it, and wrote in messy writing: "all pizzas come with sauce." I understand if it is premade or something it being an issue, but if that is the case they should have contacted us about the situation, not just sent it anyway. We had to go out and buy an entirely different meal for my boyfriend because of this. The other pizza and wings were.. okay, but i would not say good. I had a couple slices of my pizza and half the wings, and we and ended up throwing out the rest. If they had contacted me i would have been more than happy to change my order to something else so he could eat, but instead i was charged over $50 for the meal that only one of us could eat, that wasn't even that good in the first place. To say i am upset would be an understatement. Never going to or ordering from here again. Complete waste of...
