August Moon — Restaurant in Calgary

They tried purposely giving me food poisoning by giving me old food that another customer didn't want or pick up. Called for delivery one night for me and my family to eat never ate at August moon so I called them and ordered they told me a meal for 4 would be ready in like 10 to 20 minutes. That didn't seem right to me at all but me thinking telling them I'm a new customer they'd give a shit and try getting more people in the doors and actually give me quality food. Ended up having dinner with my family and we all got extremely I'll and had to go to the hospital. I'd Definitely would recommend any other Chinese food/ restaurant pay the extra 10 dollar delivery fee from other places if there far from you in the chinook/elbow drive because this place will send you right to the grave. Almost had a law suit on your hands!. Anyways anyone who respects their health should stay far far far away...

Not sure where it's getting it's high rating from. I wish we had just stopped the order when the woman on phone tried to 'up-sell' us after taking our order. It arrived as expected for a delivery service, not early, not late, but the driver either gave us the wrong item or the woman on the phone had taken the order incorrectly - either way, one of our menu items was wrong. As for the food itself, the dumpling and soup were "okay" for dumplings and soup (!) but the main course dishes had a very strange taste to them. The ginger squid was not only rubbery but both it and the s/s pork were super sweet. And the overall texture of the remaining items was - for lack of a better word - like it had been coated with starch. To be honest, we're not really "fussy' eaters around here, but simply put, this food was just not good. At $70 for 4 entree and 2 apps, you can find a better place...

I have ordered from August Moon many times for family members. The food is very tasty and the portion sizes are generous.

The issue I have is not with the food - it is with customer service. I was browsing on Skip the Dishes and saw August Moon. I placed an order for several rice, chicken and pork dishes.

Within a few minutes of placing my order I got a phone call from August Moon. An extremely angry and rude woman was yelling at me for using Skip instead of the August Moon delivery person. I was instructed to use the August Moon website.

The customer service shown by the woman at August Moon was abysmal. If you don't want Skip involved don't advertise your restaurant on there. Don't take out your frustrations on the customer.

I contacted Skip immediately and cancelled the order. I will never get food at...
