Yum Yum BBQ Chicken in Southwood Corner (Right beside Tim Hortons) — Restaurant in Calgary

Yum Yum BBQ people are patient and friendly on the phone and in person. The first time I ordered, I wasn't sure what I wanted but they were very helpful. You can tell a lot about a restaurant by the way they handle your order on the phone. When I picked up the order, they were warm and kind. There were a lot of orders they were processing, but they made you feel important. Once we got home to eat, (we ordered a variety of dishes) we devoured everything. Oh my goodness, the flavours in each dish made us moan. It was THAT GOOD. If you love delicious food, bursting with flavour, this is the place to go. It's the kind of flavour you usually have to go downtown for, but you don't! It's conveniently located at a plaza on Southland Dr. And Elbow (next to Bull and Finch) with lots of parking. We stopped in right as they opened at 4pm and ordered a family combo 2. We only waited 15 minutes and the lady was sorry it took so long, but it was really fast, and we were there right at opening anyway so we were actually sorry. The spiral potato stick was unbelievably delicious and the daikon was a great little side. We also had dumplings, fries and there were 2 flavours of chicken. Well worth the price and it was prepared so quick. Our meal was around $80 but this is enough food to feed 4 people, two separate dinners (and that includes 2 teenagers). Ordered through Uber Eats - the condition of the salad was unacceptable when it arrived. We have eaten here several times, and never had an issue like this. I called and spoke to a staff member to share my concern, which they provided me with the owners contact info. I was quickly contacted by the staff member I spoke to, and the owners family member (as the owner was out of country and wasn’t able to contact me herself). They were so sincerely apologetic, and assured me that this was not the standard they aim to deliver. They truly went above and beyond by doing everything they could to resolve this issue. Definitely willing to give them another chance, as they took full accountability and were so diligent on resolving this experience.
