Decent place to grab a (Japanese ) style bite to eat. It's a casual diner that is ordered at the counter and also picked up at the counter.

There's a handful of canned beverages in the cooler at the entrance. And we also have a water dispenser on the counter self-serve.

This evening I was wanting to review a curry dish. I ordered tonkatsu Curry which is breaded cutlet served over rice smothered in curry sauce and topped with tonkatsu sauce. I was surprised that there were no potatoes in the curry which is the standard. Instead there was lots of corn and other mixed vegetable. The curry gravy was a little watery in my opinion but it was pretty flavorful. A bowl of Curry and a can of soda sent me back $20 including tip. I wish they had proper utensils for the diners these cheap little plastic forks aren't cutting it for me. The restaurant is fairly clean and it looks quite stylish but the washroom definitely needs attention. They had the hot water turned off so you can't wash your hands with anything but cold water which I didn't like so I turned it on for you so you can enjoy a more pleasant hand washing. I ordered my food via Uber. It was only a 5 minute drive, so I know my review goes out to the food quality and not because of the drive. I’ve ordered food much further distance, and has tasted sooo much better. I ordered a beef and tempura bento box and some maki orders. When I tried the beef on the bento box, it was way too dry, cold and hard. Tempuras was good, however the sauce that came with it needs work. Their rice was also cold... this is a staple dish and should’ve not been needing to comment on it, but felt like I needed to. The makis were good, no problem on that. Miso soup flavour was good, but was just warm, not hot enough. In overall, I was not satisfied with my meal. I’m a person who doesn’t like to waste food, and also a person who eats what I order. Tonight was a disappointment and probably one of the first few times I didn’t get to finish my meal. I have ordered here because of their poke bowls, which are delicious. I think that’s what they should only stick to. I’m thankful that I tried the other food first, as I was thinking of bringing my family here for a meal. Never...

June 2025 update: I was craving tempura and miso soup so I came here despite my last experience, in hopes that they might have improved, they haven't. I ordered a megabowl which was mediocre, a tuna roll which was foul, miso soup which was okay at best and Green Tea. I think the canned drink was the best part of the meal. Someone please remind me never to come to this place ever again.

I came here with the intention to Dine In and tipped as I was planning on doing so.

My food was ready and bagged up to go. When I said I wanted to dine In the woman at the til said she hit the wrong button.

I persisted in saying I wanted to stay and eat my food. She took the food go the back and called me about 20 seconds later. They had taken the lid off of the take out container.
