I went to Boston pizza with the family this past weekend.
When it was my turn to order, I informed the waitress I was celiac and allergic to gluten. I ordered the honey dill grilled Chicken Power Bowl as that has always been my go to be on the safe side.
When the food comes out I receive a breaded chicken burger. I politely let the waitress know that she must have the wrong table as I have an allergy to gluten. (We also have no napkins, utensils, or condiments for the rest of the family’s meals)
She then confirms that she rang the order in incorrectly and corrects my order to the grilled chicken power bowl.
25 minutes later my food arrives (at this point my family has all finished their meals) The waitress informed me that the kitchen did not put any rice or quinoa in my power bowl as they could not confirm if those ingredients had gluten in them. I’m addition there was breaded chicken on top.
I informed the waitress that the breaded chicken has gluten in it and I still have a gluten allergy. She was very adamant trying to convince me that the breaded chicken was gluten free. Which was then confirmed by another staff member that there is in-fact gluten in the breaded chicken.
After 2 attempts I was afraid to try once more to order food as I did not want to end up sick from the lack of knowledge from the waitress to the kitchen staff.
They so graciously told me I didn’t have to pay for the food that I had a severe allergy to.
I will not be returning to...
Read moreCame here for dinner with my family.. and I used to come to this location years ago when I worked across the street. Food was great and service was amazing, but as I said that is a story of the past. My husband ordered the Big Dipper sandwich .. which now has one quarter of the old portion of meat, and they have incorporated one piece of a fried onion ring .. maybe to compensate for the lost meat. I believe the Big Dipper should now be called the tiny dipper. The worst part of all this, is when we nicely mentioned that the portion of meat is barely what it should be, the waitress agreed and asked to take the sandwich back to the kitchen to ask the cook to add more meat..: she looked surprised looking at the inside of the sandwich too. We asked that instead of taking it back if she can ask for the portion of meat to be brought in on the side, and she said ABSOLUTELY.. couple minutes later, waitress comes back with embarrassment in her face and said they said if you need an extra batch of meat you would need to pay extra for it.. so not only do we get a really bad service and get a sandwich that is not close to what it should be, but we also get lied to by saying they would do something that they clearly didn’t wanna do. I have attached two pictures down below, a picture of the Big Dipper from the Boston pizza website (as advertised) wrongly :.: and a picture of the small dipper that we...
Read moreI have been a regular at Boston Pizza for years but this one by far was the worst one i have ever been to.It was on June 21 2013. Sat for 15 mins before waitress came to take an order for drinks.Did not make too big of a deal about it.Restaurant was not that busy.
My main course came out before my starter soup, soup came out cold, turned me right off my food when i tasted it.Did not enjoy my lunch
Waitress did not offer any apology or anything.Never came back to give us any drink refills or ask how our food was.Service was just terrible. We were so low in the staffs list of priorities I left no tip and as i walked out the door the same waitress that had served us had rang our bill through at the front door passed a sly remark at us because of the zero tip i left.I wont go into what she said i just ignored it, but i always thought Boston Pizza was a restaurant i could go to and enjoy my lunch and leave in a good mood. Not this day.
This is the only boston Pizza i have ever had a bad experience at.I will try not to let this taint my opinion of all Boston Pizza locations.I may try out Montannas...
