Came in here with my wife near closing time. The kitchen agreed to let us order when they needed to be closing. Can’t complain about that. Can’t complain about the polite and prompt service. However, the only things that shine to light are basically two matters. One, we ordered two seafood meals. Not overly hard to prepare kitchen wise. And food product were talking costed them approximately under five dollars to make. The two meals came to $45 dollars. Along with bruschetta and the bread sticks. And two pop. $72.00 dollars. So for two people to eat nearly eighty dollars. Now this isn’t a five star Italian restaurant. This is a bar and pub. Standards kitchen. So the pricing, along with the fact of the area of neighbourhood. This isn’t a rich neighbourhood. This pricing is exorbitant in pricing. What we ordered should have been $35 tops. This was double. Why I wonder would be the grand question. Secondly, is in the manner staff are trained to hustle. Meaning there attitudes with greed. Me and my wife ordered a pop each. We watch clearly as he grabs two glasses fills them both seventy five percent ice. Then open one can of pop in which he proceeds to pour half the can in each glass to fill it. So for $8 dollars we acquire one can of pop. This is how you judge clearly the type of mentality the establishment has towards how they operate and deal with the customer. The bartender is proceeding to treat a new customer like a mark. Someone to be taken advantage of. Not respected and honoured. Not even remotely decent. And this is all done with a smile upon the face. Last night we came to this establishment Saturday night July 27 2024. Approximately 11:30 at night. A lot can be said for one’s interactions with staff before closing. There busy and in a rush. There honest intentions and true colours tend to shine through a little more clearly. If I was the owner. Read moreYesterday was a terrible experience. My husband, my mother in law and I went there around noon we finally left around 330 because the waitress never came over. We had to flag her down. We never got her name because she wasn't wearing a name tag. So My mom had surgery so she has a drainage bag on her stomach that hangs down past her shirt. When the waitress noticed my mother's drainage bag she wasn't very nice to her. When my mom would ask questions she was very dismissive towards her. When we finished our food we asked for a to go container and the bill. She came back 15 minutes laters asking us if we wanted anything else. We asked again for the to go container and the bill. 15 minutes she brings the containers and walks away. We started getting ready to go to the front for the bill cause we were getting fed up. She walked past so I once again asked for the bill. She finally brought it over 10 minutes later and treated my mom like she was a kid, explaining how to us a debt machine. This women had the nerve to ask my mom how she was tipping her percent or amount. My mom didn't want to but this lady was leaning over her watching. And my mom was having a hard time with the machine because she has arthritis in her hands so she got upset and put the machine down and told the waitress "I don't know tip what you think you deserve. You know what, whatever 20% I guess." When we left my mom was upset that she spent money to be treated terribly and forced to tip that much. She wanted to talk to a manager about this women's terrible behaviour, short temper and and bad customer service but she was exhausted and in pain from her recent surgery that she just wanted to leave and asked me to write this review so they see this and better their customer service. towards the elderly because that was ridiculous. Read moreI needed to change my posting, before we always ordered and never a problem. However, the last two times we have been disappointed. (I have emailed last week about this matter, have yet to hear back) In house service is TERRIBLE - 1st error - Heads up a table of 8 they automatically add the 18%, which our server never told the table, 2 out of the 4 couples, TIPPED 18% on the already 18% added...my goodness. We let that slide, as customers we should know better...Correct? 2nd time, I arrived a little late, my our table had paid their tabs. but the waitress in the time we sat there never came back (they were NOT busy at all) to say, Hey! I see an new face, would you like to order anything, should we open the tab again? So I skipped my take out order, then asked the front staff when it was ready to please bring it to my table....Do you think any of the staff questioned why a customer, used SKIP in their establishment? I don't believe we will ever be returning, its put not one bad taste but twice now.
