Sent the following to DQ Corporate; such bad service!
The service was unprofessional, lacked health and safety skills and very slow. We are loyal customers, and have often eaten at DQ all across Canada. I have never felt the need to place a complaint before but this service was atrocious. The problems began when we were left standing at the counter ready to order, there were approx. six staff members in the back, some talking to each other, some appeared to be ignoring us and hoping someone else would get the customers. It is important to note, there was only two other customers in the store at this time, and no one in line. Once someone did come to help us, we were not greeted, she simply stared at us until we spoke our orders. This employee then proceeded to make our orders but took so long that when we received our ice cream it had melted. Considering each of our orders were $7 each, this is disappointing. We chose to eat inside the store, while sitting at our table we witnessed two employees loudly arguing with each other, both using foul language and violent gestures were made. The gesture in question was one young lady appeared to threaten to throw an object at another employee. Additionally, I was concerned about the lack of gloves used, and how none of the employees were wearing hairnets. Now this may not be a rule within the establishment, however considering lots of the employees had very long hair, and no hats on, this was a concern for me. Read moreOrdered SkipTheDishes tonight from this DQ, really excited to try the new “Cake Batter Cookie Dough” Blizzard. I even ordered two as my mom wanted to try it as well. Couldn’t have been more disappointed when the order came in and both of the blizzards were just regular “cookie dough,” and were rang in that way on the receipt as well. I have never liked chocolate sauce on a blizzard and I would not have ordered regular cookie dough if I had another choice - so this mess up was both surprising and disappointing. I wish someone would have called me to ask if I wanted something else instead of just assuming. I don’t usually write Google reviews either, but I’m so frustrated. Either call your clients when items aren’t available or pay more attention to the specifics on orders when ringing them in… I did get a refund from Skip, but I’m really unhappy. I won’t be ordering from this location again...
Read moreFriendly team members at this location. They are quick to assist you as you walk through the door. The team members are always happy and smiling. As far as negative comments go, the tables while cleared off are often not wiped down which can be frustrating. My family had been going to this location for over 40 years and have seen it go through many changes over the years. Originally, it was only opened seasonally as they simply had picnic tables outside. Then it was renovated to a full service restaurant. The prices are reasonable for combo meals which keeps costs down for a family on a budget. It's just too bad that the ice cream cake prices have gotten so high that purchasing one is almost out of reach for a family on a fixed budget. Also, why is there only one handicap parking spot?
