Interesting little place that's been around for awhile. I'm guessing it was originally owned and operated by a Japanese person at one point, but then taken over by someone Chinese later due to the unusual available selection of Dim Sum items (and Cantonese Chinese staff as I distinctly heard Cantonese in the restaurant and I'm part Cantonese myself)? Is it the best sushi in town? No, i'd cede that to places like Nupo and so on, but you will also pay the prices for such top places. But is it a good neighborhood sushi place with decent prices and portions? Yes it is, and I'm speaking out of experience of living in Tokyo for awhile and having my fave neighborhood haunts outside of the usual public centers and tourist traps like Shibuya, Asakusa and Roppongi. Now admittedly the pork cutlet from my katsu don could have been crispier and the egg not overcooked, but to me this dish is a measure of a neighborhood Japanese restaurant as it's pretty much an inexpensive standard found in every hole in the wall Tonkatsu and Shokudo, not unlike finding steak and eggs in every diner in America. I would give it a 3.5 out of 5, not the best but still worth it for comfort food once in awhile. The Grilled squid was decent, and the tempura could've used a little more seasoning, but still a decent take. The music was an odd instrumental mix of Broadway and Hollywood musical number, with Chinese pop (also instrumental) thrown in which someone as travelled as me would notice, but 85% of most diners would have caught that. Otherwise, it was a decent meal, and I would rate it appropriately more of a neighborhood resto (even if Japanese). My actual rating would be 3.75 stars, but Google doesn't allow that. Still, if the goal is to have something Japanese, it'll do in a pinch

Food was delicious! The servers were also attentive and kind! Large portions of food and short wait times - although we had to wait for the sushi for awhile, it was understandable because there was only one sushi chef. We ordered the Salmon Lover, Chicken Teriyaki and Tempura bento box dinner and the Ginger Beef Dinner Combo. My boyfriend loved the salad and the chicken teriyaki the most! Total came down to about $95 with tax and tip included

The food, portions, and service are always 10/10. The service was excellent and this visit was no exception. Our waitress was attentive, quick to check in without being intrusive, offered vegetarian recommendations and was just so kind in her approach. You can tell the staff take pride in making every guest feel welcome. This is hospitality at its best, and it’s the reason we keep coming back time after time.

I have been to this location and loved it for the price of the lunch special. Today however I ordered three lunch specials and was charged for four. after reviewing my bill I explained to the waitress that I did not order a fourth lunch special. She argued with me saying that I must have done so otherwise it would not be on my bill. I showed her my order and that I was only given three lunch specials and I would like a refund for the fourth. She proceeded to get her supervisor ( I imagine that was who it was) to which I was informed they do not give refunds at all. I had to stand and argue with both of them that I would require a refund for food that I did not receive or want. In the end I got my refund, but was publicly scolded in front of other customers that it was my fault the I was charged for a fourth lunch special. I learned my lesson to pay more attention to my bill, however how the situation was handled was unprofessional and I will definitely not be...

Have been here quite a few times over the last few years and thought they were an average place for sushi until today. Ordered sashimi from the menu and marked order sheet by item number and turns out their menu and order sheet numbers are completely messed up. No apologies when mentioned at front. Also returned the Assorted Sashimi platter with sashimi that had a fairly big black spot on the piece (sings of “not so” upto the health standard quality of fish. Mentioned the concerned while returning and again, nothing! No apologies, not even a response to the concern of any kind! Absolutely below standard sushi place I figured and just hoping that we survive the upcoming, for whatever that was consumed an hour ago! Cashier offer $2 discount of the total, when paying bill and asked about the owner. Not a word of apologies or customer care...
