Eggsmart — Restaurant in Calgary

Probably wont be back. I had the 3 egg early bird special. Probably the only reasonably priced item on the menu. Its the only time Ive been to a restaurant where the waitress didnt circle back after serving the food to inquire about it. Heck she barely spoke to me - even when paying she just punched in the numbers to debit machine and walked away. The food was ok, it was served quickly enough, the hand made hash browns where a nice touch - but poorly executed. Some where mush that broke apart when touched by the fork, and others where under cooked, hard lumps that got stuck the back of the throat. Some under cooked potatoes isnt a health threat - it would have been nice if someone seemed to care - either about me...

I’ve been a regular customer at Smart Egg for a while now, and I absolutely love the food and service — always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. It’s one of my go-to spots when I’m craving something delicious and consistent. Just wanted to mention one small issue I’ve faced a few times. I’ve come by around 1:30 PM (well before the 2:00 PM closing time), but the doors were already locked and I was told it was closed. It’s happened three times now, which is a bit disappointing for a loyal customer.

Staff has always been great! Food used to be much better and always hot and the BEST fruits I've ever had. They have changed sadly. Food is about half of what they used to serve and prices went up. Now they close at three. I believe people should have some down time BUT when I enter your doors at 2:30 and you give me scrunchy faces and suggest that I get it to go instead... I'm insulted. Closing at three is fine (if a little weird) BUT THEN CLOSE AT THREE. IF YOUR STAFF WANT OUT THE DOOR AT THREE (and they were btw) THEN...
