Five Guys — Restaurant in Calgary

I'm known for my homemade burgers but sometimes, you need to go somewhere where you can get a burger that meets your own standards. Five Guys is that place for me. All you need is a single (Little) to feel satisfied but go for the standard (Double Patty) if you are feeling hungry. If you want fries, make sure you have a friend with you as the standard portion size is way too much for one sitting.

To bring some context, I used to be a fan of Red Robin burgers (Royal Red) and Fat Burger (Bacon & Cheese). What I've experienced over the past couple of years is that the quality of their burgers have gone down or their portion sizes are off and take away from what should be focal point, the seasoned burger.

One thing that these other restaurants do provide that, to my knowledge, 5 Guys does not provide is an egg as a topping. If they did, I would give 6 stars if I could. Something about having a hint of breakfast in my lunch just makes my day. 😉

On top of the food, the staff at this location always make you feel welcome and thankful that you stopped in. This makes the experience that much more enjoyable. Hope this review helps you find the best...

DO NOT EAT HERE - THEY COOK THEIR BURGERS MEDIUM - RAW MEAT - THIS IS HOW THEY ARE TOLD TO COOK THE BURGERS, RAW IN THE MIDDLE. Two of us went for a late lunch on Sunday, August 4, 2018 at 2pm - on the August long weekend. We have eaten at this location many-many times and this is the first time my burger was raw in the center. I took the burger up to the counter and the girl making the fries said that is the way they cook their burgers. She offered to make me another burger and I said 'no thank you, if that is the way you now cook your burgers!' I threw my $7.00 burger in the garbage and was not even offered a refund. About 5 minutes later another patron took her burger up to the main counter where you order the food and proceeded to speak to the girl at the till and then she also threw her burger in the garbage. When she came back to her table I asked what was wrong with her burger and she also said that her burger was raw in the middle, she grabbed her receipt and I think they were going to re-make her burger. We left and I will not be eating at this location again as they now cook their burgers medium - what a waste for such an...

Its unfortunate that they have gone so downhill. Was my favorite burger place for years. My last 10 visits it has been very inconsistent. The second last visit the woman working the fries kept thinking the order would be up soon so she would dip them in to reheat and i saw that happen 3 extra tumes after they had been cooked no suprise they were disgusting. This last time i again got disgusting fries and i did not appreciaye my order getting pushed back for 2 skip orders im a customer 2 so when ur calling numbers after mine and making me wait the extra 5 mins it is not appreciated. You have lost a customer i hope you get things streightened oyt but its doubtful i will ever go back there are better places for now just a couple dollars more since your prices have risen.
