Gallaghers Pub & Eatery — Restaurant in Calgary

My wife and I were recommended to come here. Sadly there experience was not good overall.

The server was pleasant, the pub food was good. The server did drop 1 of my wifes fried pickles on the floor when laying it down on the table, but she promptly got new ones.We had the wings, and fried pickles. Once the actuall food came out is where it all went down hill. My wife ordered buffalo chicken wrap, and I ordered Moms lasagna. The wrap was tasty but had a big hair sticking out of it. That grossed my wife out and she couldn't eat any longer. The lasagna was just a mess of noodles, some watered down meat sauce that had zero flavor, and some cheese baked on top. Was by far the grossed food I've had in a long time. I ended up ordering the steak sandwich which was passable but still not good. I had to eat the thing in front of my wife who left hungry.

No manager came by to apologize, and there was no discount on the bill, so we paid full price for the experience we had. I wasn't put off by this but was a little surprised as normally somebody would come by to apologize for what had happened.

The server said they'll start wearing hair nets in the back now, so...

First and last time. Went for lunch, disappointment all around. It smelled like harsh cleaning chemicals as soon as we walked in. We seated ourselves and it took 7 minutes for the server to ask us for drinks. They came quickly and we ordered right away.

The food didn't take too long, but it sucked. The western burger was an overcooked patty with unmelted cheese on top. The half leaf of lettuce took up about a third of the bun and the small tomato slice, about a quarter. The onion rings were soggy and the sauce was plain bbq.

The chicken fingers weren't too bad, nice blend of spices. The fries for both were a gross colour from oil that hasn't been changed. They were unsalted and half were crunchy and the other half soggy. The ketchup bottle was only about a third full.

After standing around for a few minutes waiting to pay, the server finally came over. Considering the place was dead, service could have been...

Where do I start? This place has really gone down hill we remember the food was amazing the wings were over cook and bland as hell. Keto pizza EXTREMELY dry and especially the chicken. The service was absolutely unbelievably terrible waited for ever to be asked for a drink because she was sitting talking to men at a table right beside us then it also took for ever to order food and we still had to ask for drinks even tho they’ve been empty for ever. The bar only had a few people in it the whole time and yet she still couldnt stop sitting at the table visiting. It was very disappointing and disrespectful. We had a 12 hr day at work and have to be up in a few hours to do it all again we did not want to have to sit there for ever while the waitress tried to get laid. Reminds me of kitchen nightmares. The wings taste like old fryer oil. We had to remind the waitress to give us the deal that was on for the night. This is...
