Tonight we ordered pizza from store R32902 also known as 5010 4 St NE, Calgary, AB T2K 5X8. It was the first time returning in years, probably about 5 years, because we had had several bad experiences with this perticular location. But tonight I was craving a Canadian Pizza. My partner and I agreed we would give it another go. Things change. Big mistake.
Ordering online was easy and efficient to put together. We ordered the triple treat (order number 119). When I arrived to pick up our dinner the women working the till showed courtesy and was a pleasure to deal with. The restaurant was clean. That is where the positive experience ended. The pizza wasn't warm let alone hot. When we opened the boxes at home. The all meat toppings were burnt on the one pizza. But the reason that sparked the call back was the lack of sauce on the other pizza. There was almost none. You could see the white dough throughout the pizza not covered by sauce or toppings, big bare white dough. Appetizing right? There was no consistent anything in this order. I could complain further about the products we recieved, but I'll stop there. We decided to call back, because let's be real it's a Monday and mistakes happen. We were hoping for a make it right situation. We would have been happy with a bring it back, with a "we will make it again". Or "on your next order we will offer you the same pizza with no charge", a discount or even an apology. But as it turns out we were not destined for any of it. She (identified herself as on shift manager, no name) told us if we want sauce to order extra sauce next time and hung up on my spouse. This is not okay. At all. Especially for a large company like yours. I will be spreading the word in our community and especially to other parents in the local schools that pizza hut is not willing to stand by their products. I always place online orders for cash delivery. In the past the driver arrived without change. I spoke to the store and was advised to put change needed in the order notes. Saturday evening I placed an online order for cash delivery. My order was 30.43 and I had 2 $20 bills. I requested 4 loonies and 5 quarters for change and the rest would be driver tip. Driver showed up and had only a $50 and $20. He then asked me several times to pay with card. I declined. He then wanted to take the food back to the store and get change. I tried to call the store which was impossible (routed to the call center).
The driver magically found 4 loonies and a loonies back in his car. Once I received the survey, I filled it in. The next day the store called back and started to explain, I then said I'll explain what happened in my opinion. When I was finished explaining the line was silent and I said hello twice before the finally picked the phone up, I asked her if she put the phone down while I explained. She then began to speak to me in an angry tone. I told her she needed to speak to me in a less hostile tone. She then said I won't let her explain and she hung up. I place many cash orders. This lady just told me her store no linger wants my business. This is not how you treat a good customer. *Side note, they want blame the driver, the store gets the notes about change. The order not only took longer than it said it would but the driver just walked away without taking my payment and didn't come back until the next couple days he showed up at my work harassing my coworkers for payment. This man can barely speak English as it is but I don't appreciate him harassing my coworkers. He came in today when I was finally working today as I had the past few days off and he got the payment but was trying to charge me for a tip thinking I wouldn't notice. Absolutely not, especially when you delivered the order and was extremely rude and yelling at me for not understanding a word you're saying because you don't speak English. You delivered it late, you are incompetent at your job and didn't take payment and because it's your fault you came in harassing for me for days until I was actually working and on top of all of that it was the most disgusting food I've ever had. I got a MyBox and had a piece of super undercooked pizza with rubbery cheese and a piece of chicken that was also cold and stuck to the cardboard since it was not wrapped in foil at all to keep it warm. Will never be back and will make sure everyone around here knows not to go there. My coworkers already know to avoid this place as they were harassed for money by this delivery driver who can't even do his very simple job correctly. I especially don't like that he feels so entitled to a tip that he thinks he can just sneak it in the total when the entire experience...
