Lava Pizza YYC — Restaurant in Calgary

I was here an evening and requested a custom pizza. The young man helping me out was helpful and very accommodative to my request of a unique flavour and combination I was creating. He also cautioned/advised me to limit the toppings to 5 maximum — To what I had already added on; which made some sense. The pizza was done in 25 minutes. It was lightly brown on top and the balance of cheese, the spicy chicken, the shawarma beef and shawarma sauce with coriander and other flavours of tomato & olives just turned out super fantastic. The spice was just right, so that my kids also could eat that Pizza and savour the mouth tingling flavours. Lava pizza made my day. I called them today and thanked them because I wanted them to hear it personally that their fantastic Pizza made me super happy. They have this wall plaque hanging on a corner which says something like “you cannot buy happiness but you can buy a great pizza which is kind of same” And when I was there I amusingly read it and wondered yesterday if it’s really true. Now after eating this Pizza, I can say it’s absolutely true. Go there and make your own custom pizza today — but also listen to the advice from the pizza makers when you almost want to go overboard with toppings. We have been regulars since Lava first opened .Recently I ordered a pizza and I found hair in it, I called them to let them know and they said they will put a credit on my phone number for the next time I order. I went to order today and they claimed the credit has already been claimed. Which I know is a lie as I have not placed an order since my last one ( the one with hair). They clearly just didn't want to own up to their words. I spoke to some guy when I called about the hair and he had told me he was the manager and he would make sure I have no issues claiming the credit. Staff is extremely unprofessional and made it seem like I was bluffing about the credit. I told them I had all my phone records and can prove I made no orders to claim the credit. They advised they will call back to fix the issue but never did. I will no longer be ordering from this place as they are unprofessional and rude and don't live up to...

I wish i can give them less than 1 star for their terrible food quality.worst customer service and worse food. I ordered a small thin crust pizza with the uber from this store. First of all when i got this order delivered to my place i was so disappointed coz there is a regular crust pizza instead of the thin crust. But the most terrible fact was, my husband found piece of broken glass in his first bite. Thanks to god, he noticed and spit it out what if he swallow it? Who was responsible for that? When i called to the store to inform them then the guy , who answered my call was not listening to me instead he started doing the arguments like it’s impossible we do not use glass in pizza making area etc. etc. This was my last time when i ordered from this place.
