Spicy Root Restaurant — Restaurant in Calgary

BIG THIEVES ! STAY AWAY !! They charged about 50 cents extra for each item ( we ordered about 6 items) and said that their menus are outdated and they have increased the prices and new menus are still being printed ( My friend told me they used the same excuse 2 months back) Also they charged $1 per person for dine in and never warned us of that charge until we asked after paying bill. This charge was not mentioned anywhere on the menu neither it was informed to us before we seated. The lady at the counter argued that they charge everyone for dine in and she gave an excuse that they have full loads of plates to be washed at the back. Whats the point of opening a restaurant to give lame excuses to rob customers. On the receipt it did not explain any of the extra charges properly as if it was made to confuse customers. Moreover the total of the receipt did not matched the amount we paid as if it was deliberately overcharged on top of already inflated bill.. Not to mention the food was the worst I have ever had in my life. Just stay away from...

This is real review on the basis of what we had experienced..we ordered food via doordash application..food was awful and there was no taste…service is very bed.. we ordered few items and one of the item was not good … there was bed smell coming out of it..food was not good and when we phoned in and spoke to supervisor her name was kiran and she admitted and she said that the chef has used accidentally day before yesterday sauce and she promised that she will arrange delivery for that item on next day but its been since 3 days of that incident and she did not fulfill her promise…so seriously guys dont go there ..they are serving...

I am posting this review after 5 minutes of my visit into this restaurant. We walked in with our family for dine in and these people ( guy at the front desk and someone inside the restaurant started a fight and started yelling so loudly and bullying right in front of everyone. The guy yelling from inside was the one started fight. Everyone inside ran out of restaurant and it was such a shame for our community to behave like this . Such a bad experience.
