Dined here for family dinner. Everything from email correspondence, arrival and seating and especially the service in between courses and the drink pairings were impeccable. We tried so many items, i would like to mention some of them with you so that whenever you guys get chance you will visit here and try food. First of all, i will start with starters, i love amritsari chat papri, veg burger, chicken wrap. In chinese we tried chilli chicken, chilli potato, tandoori noodles. My cousin tried veg mencburian and she said it was out of the world. Then we have main starter, we order veg briyani, jeera rice with tandoori chicken, achari fish tikka, malai paneer tikka and many more things because we are set of 10 people. In special items they have rice veg and non veg bowl and matka chole with rice and they are very reasonable. In desert we tried gulab jammun and rass malai. I prefer ras malai more, I loved it. They have various varieties of shakes, thali's, breads, salads. The service was literally more than I had ever experienced. This location has a great set of people, they are wonderful and so sweet and always working hard!!! It is also very busy at this location and the employees are just so darn nice and great! Thank you!!! know how hard it can get sometimes, but let me tell you, this staff is the best!!! Amazing!! Also I would like to mention about their bar. Loved sitting at the bar located in Mcknight. The family and I had a great time over there also. Very very detail oriented and thoughtful menu. It is the great place to have parties or marriage arrangements are great over there. We also have a jaggo night over there and the arrangements are outstanding and with reasonable prices. Note: the drink pairings do come with every course so you'll be looking at about 8-10 drinks of full glasses/cups/shot. Overall, a beautiful zen-like dining experience with top notch service and very O houghtful touches to a special dining experience! I would like to mention especially about the owner of this place her name is Lilly and she is a great personality. When i meet her for first time she treats me like we know each other from so long. I feel very comfortable and happy with her every time i meet her. Now, when my husband will come then definitely we will be here for candle night...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Amritsari Tadka Restaurant, and I have to say—it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The decor is a perfect blend of traditional Punjabi charm and modern elegance, making it an ideal spot for both casual meals and special occasions. The staff was incredibly attentive, making sure our table had everything we needed without being intrusive. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and even gave us great recommendations on what to try! Now, let’s talk about the real star of the show—the food! Every single dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The Amritsari Kulcha & Chole was hands down the BEST kulcha I’ve ever had! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and stuffed with a deliciously spiced filling. The chole was rich and flavorful, making for the perfect combination. The Tandoori Chicken was smoky, juicy, and seasoned just right. It came out sizzling, and the aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water. The Malai Paneer Tikka was creamy, soft, and packed with rich flavors. Even if you’re not a vegetarian, you need to try this! To wash it all down, I had the Mango Lassi, which was thick, creamy, and refreshingly sweet—an excellent way to balance out the spices. Everything about Amritsari Tadka Restaurant exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped in, I felt a welcoming vibe that carried through the entire dining experience. The flavors, the ambiance, and the service were all top-notch, and every dish was a testament to the authentic Punjabi culinary tradition. If you’re craving authentic Punjabi food that hits the spot every time, this is the place to go. The quality and freshness of the ingredients, the perfect blend of spices, and the heartwarming service truly make this restaurant a standout. Whether you’re dining with family, friends, or even solo, you’ll leave with a satisfied stomach and a big smile. I will definitely be coming back for more, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-tier Indian dining...
Read moreDisappointing Dining Experience Despite Warm Welcome
During a recent visit to this restaurant, I was met with a mixed experience that unfortunately leaned more toward disappointment than delight.
The atmosphere left much to be desired, lacking the warmth or ambiance one typically hopes for when dining out. However, the service started off on a positive note — the staff greeted us politely and made a welcoming first impression. Service throughout the meal was average, earning a fair 7 out of 10.
To start, I ordered the Chaat Papdi, a dish known for its vibrant flavors and layered textures. Unfortunately, it fell completely flat. The dish tasted like plain yogurt with crackers, devoid of the tangy, spicy, and sweet notes that make chaat memorable. The chutneys were either missing or barely present, and a side sauce that appeared to be straight from a store-bought bottle added no value. There was no evident effort or freshness — a poor representation of a classic Indian street food staple.
For mains, I tried the Amritsari Goat, which was average at best, deserving a 6 out of 10. While it was cooked through, the flavor lacked depth, and the spices that typically define this dish were muted.
The Handi Chicken was, regrettably, the most disappointing of the meal. The chicken tasted boiled and bland, with a texture that resembled overcooked mashed potatoes. It lacked the rich, spiced gravy and slow-cooked flavor one would expect from a traditional handi preparation.
We also ordered Tawa Roti, which was soft in the center but undercooked around the edges, indicating inconsistency in preparation.
In total, I spent around $95, and sadly, the meal did not justify the cost. Despite the friendly start, the overall experience was underwhelming in terms of taste, quality, and atmosphere. I left feeling dissatisfied and disappointed. This is not a place I would return to or recommend, especially with so many other excellent...
